Hi...I'm Beatrix Jahn, called Trixi by my friends.
I live in a small town outside of Nuremberg, Germany.
When I was a child, my father motivated me to draw...he was very creative, and you could say he layed the "seed" for my passion.
When I was 8-14 yrs. old, I lived in San Francisco, and there my cousine, Delia Pacheco, influenced me with her love of painting. She always took time to show me how to do it...and gave me some basics, to make a horse look like a horse. (Today she is not only my cousine, but also one of my BEST friends!)
Over the years I dabbled a bit, mostly with pencil and charcoal.
In 2002-3 I had a "productive" time, in which I also started with watercolors.
Then I took a 5 year break...I was burned out and empty. It really made me sad and I just couldn't find the spark to "put out new works".
This year (2008) the fire started to burn inside again, and I started with acrylics early October.
I'm still experimenting with it and learning with each painting that Im doing. Im really enjoying it.
I hope you enjoy my art as much as I do.

- Excellent lens and of course the art too. I'm hoping to do more drawing now I have more time on my hands (not working much at the moment) although I have never been much good with paint, but I might experiment again.

- I love your artwork, very good. I'm pleased you decided to join Squidoo and hope you enjoy it here. Also pleased that the Chef and Squidster found you. We have people from so many different countries, so it's good to know you are not alone in being from Germany. 5***** and I look forward to many more lenses.
