Trollbeads & Trollbead Jewelery Is Becoming More Popular Every Day

Trollbeads are becoming more and more popular every day, despite being around for more than 30 years people are only just learning about the magic that is troll beads. Trollbeads are colorful beads which each posess their own story which is based around a history of animals, flowers, mythology and astrology. All troll beads are hand made from glass and when you see them being made it becomes obvious why they are as expensive as they are.

So to give you a history of trollbeads, they started around 30 years ago back in Denmark and were created by Soren Nielson, he created a very small silver perl from a wax model. He drilled a hole into this wax model and the whole concept of troll beads were born. However it wasn't until 2002 when the first glass bead was developed and released by Lise Aagaard who had been developing the trollbead that we know today for 20 years previous to its release in 2002.

Beads are a far step away from what they were back in 1976 when the first wax model was developed. There are now many many glass beads of all different shapes, sizes, types, glass combinations & price. Some contain gold, some silver and others are just glass, but be sure when I say that if you start your collection it will never be complete as there are that many types and variations.

Trollbeads are generally categorised into a few main types; retired troll beads are probably the most popular. You will also see rare trollbeads, limited edition trollbeads, gold trollbeads, OOAK or one of a kind trollbeads, along with some more rare trollbeads such as the designer dolce trollbead and the green lillac armadilo trollbead.
