In any business, the costs of promotion and advertising can be the largest expense the business will face. For several months since November last year, the Pacific Area division of FreeLife has been riding a wave of free publicity, much of which has contributed towards the outstanding sales of AUD $3 million per month of Himalayan Goji® Juice in Brisbane, Australia alone. "Naturally, all of our distributors are extremely pleased, and they are benefiting greatly from this greater brand awareness," said Christopher Cooper, General Manager, FreeLife Pacific Area. "Usually MLM companies operate in a 'push' environment, where we are out there heavily promoting our products, but it is every networker's dream come true when the opposite happens, and a 'pull' environment occurs where consumers are demanding the products and systems you have on offer."These "pull" promotional efforts have arisen from positive media exposure of goji berries in virtually every leading women's and health magazine available on Australian shelves, including such publications as Madison magazine, Reader's Digest Health Smart, The Australian Aesthetic Journal, Women's Golf, and Good Health & Medicine, with more Himalayan Goji® Juice-specific editorial content appearing in Woman's Day (as part of a "beauty detox"), New Idea, Women's Fitness, and the Australian Beauty Therapist magazine.
