Trying To Get Pregnant Quickly
You get a lot of tips from colleagues, friends or your mother when you are trying to get pregnant. Although they are all well meant, they often don't work.
While I was trying to get pregnant I collected tons of them, I can't even count them anymore. Most of them haven't worked, but some of them did: I got pregnant and gave birth to a healthy boy. I know what tips have worked and I want to share them with you.
#1 - Time Your Sex

You have several options to find out when you'll ovulate:
- ovulation prediction kits
- chart your basal body temperature
- check your cervical mucus
- count the days
#2 - Stop Smoking

A study has shown that women who smoke had to wait almost two months longer until they successfully conceive. Smoking does not only affect your fertility, it also damages your unborn baby when you get pregnant.
#3 - Take Vitamins

- Vitamin C can protect the sperm's DNA from taking damage and helps enhancing the sperm's quality.
- Vitamin E increases both male and female fertility. It also increases the fertilization rates of men.
- Women who take folic acid have better chances to get pregnant. It's also important to lower your risk of suffering problems producing eggs.
#4 - Choose The Right Position

Woman-on-top and standing positions should be avoided as the sperm can flow out of your vagina.
#5 - Healthy Body Weight
Studies have shown that women with massive overweight have lower conception rates. Fertility doctors often advise losing some weight before undergoing fertility treatments.
Underweight can cause infertility, too.
