Are You Tumblring? Why not?

I'm making this page about Tumblr because I like its simplicity. Tumblr.com is a free and lightweight blogging platform, aimed at making it effortless to share text, photos, quotes, links, music, and videos, from your browser, phone, desktop, email, or wherever you happen to be, and doing it the quick and easy way!

Tumblr hopes to do for the tumblelog what services like LiveJournal and Blogger did for the blog. The difference is that its extreme simplicity will make luring users a far easier task than acquiring users for traditional weblogging. Anytime a user sees something interesting online, they can click a quick "Share on Tumblr" bookmarklet that then tumbles the snippet directly. The result is varied string of media ranging links and text to pictures and videos that takes very little time and effort to maintain.

There is little to no learning curve involved in using tumblr. Features are intuitive and quick to establish. Users simply sign up and begin posting in a minute.

Just like that! Click on [ MB7Art.Tumblr.com ] to check it out!

Interview With Jason McElweenie Why YOU SHOULD Use Tumblr!

- O.K., Jason, what you can tell us about Tumblr?

- Well, think of it as cross between a blog and a twitter account. Or a cross between a vlog and a micro-blog. Too confusing? Think of it this way; another great way to generate traffic to your site. How? There are a myriad of ways!

- If you don't mind, Jason, let's break all those ways down with the other question - Do I need to use Tumblr?

- Simple answer is Hell Yeah! The long answer is yes and here's why; it can help you generate more traffic to your site and here's how: A simple way is to post little summaries about your site and/or news about services or products. You can also post links to sites that you like or links to news about new innovations in your industry and your take on it.
You can also set up your account to capture traffic from other sites such as Twitter, Digg and YouTube to name a few. The biggest plus I can see for our clients is to import your RSS feeds as a Tumblr stream.

Once you import your feed it takes Tumblr a little bit to gather that info and display it on your page so don't get discouraged.

- Sounds so cool! O.K. here is the last question:
What is your last argument convincing people to try Tumblr?

- The great thing about Tumblr is you can choose to have your RSS feed as just a link or links with summaries that gives not only users a point of reference but it also gives search engines that coveted content they so desire and it isn't considered duplicate content.

Try Tumblr out and let us know if it is helping your site.

- Thank you, Jason!
