    We stayed for a week in a old villa outside of Florence for a week. It was heaven. So fun to go to the grocery store and make our own food!

    My husband is Italian and the cook in our house, and this is how we eat too, you really don't need lots of spices in good food. I was surprised when we stayed in Tuscany that they do not add salt to their bread. Now that I didn't like.

    I'm generally not fan of classic Italian cuisine (pasta and pizza... eeeek, lol) but I save this lens on my computer so that I can get back as often as I wish as I found some recipes that made me mouthwatering!

    I just had a tasty chicken in olive oil dinner last night! I'm particularly partial to salads (all makes and varieties) and that tuna one looks tasty. Thumbs up!

    I visited Tuscany two years ago and loved everything about it. The people, the food, the art. I will try the Tuscan Fresh Tuna Fish with Peas Recipe. Yum. Thanks for organizing all these great cookbooks too. I'll let you know which I get and how I like it.

    I love that movie Under the Tuscan Sun. There is just something romantic about Italy. The tuna and pea recipe sounds good. Fresh tuna is so good especially smoked!

    I love ur tuna and peas, is typical from my own town.try what we call drunk tuna:season and flour lightly the tuna.pan, oil and then brown one small onion chopped,crushed garlic,finely chopped parsley.lay the tuna in the pan turn them once and add 3dl of red wine. cook til the wine has evaporated.;)
