The Twilight Series has been a huge hit around my house. My daughters have been begging me for the past year to read the book series by Stephanie Meyer. I enjoyed the movie but honestly thought the books were more for the your girls rather than someone my age. But since I enjoyed the movie so much I decided to go ahead and start reading the books. I have to tell you I was really surprised.
I could not put the books down. They were so addictive. I actually read all 4 books in under a week and a half. My poor family was ignored.

If you are thinking about reading Twilight, I suggest you go ahead and get all 4 books together (It's cheaper that way). The reason why is as soon as you finish Twilight, you will find yourself running to get New Moon as well.

- Hmm - no, I think Twilight has a different and somewhat more limited audience than Harry Potter. I love them both, though!

- The only thing the two book series have in common is perhaps the fantasy aspect. Even though both series were written for children, I absolutely adored them. As for writing ability and creativity, I think Harry Potter is without doubt, still tops.

- Well, I think that's comparing apples to oranges :-) I do prefer Harry Potter over Twilight, but my husband and I both really enjoyed the Twilight series. It's interesting that our kids (in their 20's, including our daughter-in-law) won't touch the books.

- Although I'm a TwiMom, Harry Potter appealed to younger children, so I'd have to say no. Twilight's got a following all it's own. I do hear there's another Harry Potter-like series (or maybe movie series), but I'll be darned if I can remember the name... :D 5 stars and lensrolled to my Twilight lens. Thanks
