Steve Gerlach

@stezza666

From stevegerlach.com

Steve Gerlach is one of Australia's few thriller writers.

Born and bred in Australia, Gerlach's fast-paced, cut-to-the-bone style is a refreshing voice in the dry, barren Australian literary scene.

Steve's background includes many varied roles. He has worked as an editor for a book publisher; as the editor-in-chief of an Australian motorcycle magazine; editor and publisher of an international crime magazine, Probable Cause; a researcher and columnist for a major Australian daily newspaper; a Technical Publications Officer in the security industry; marketing executive for an international telecommunications software company; and currently works in the field of international transit producers.

He also worked as the Historical Advisor on the Australian film, Let's Get Skase.

Steve Gerlach lives in Melbourne. He is currently working on a new novel.

Ila Golden

@ILAGolden

From www.authorsden.com

Okay, well I'm a fantasy writer from Plymouth, England, and I graduated from the University of Winchester with a Creative Writing and Drama BA in October 2008. I've been writing since... well for as long as I can remember. I mean, I used to tell my little brother stories in the car on our way to school in the mornings when I was 5, I'd writen my first short story by the time I was 11, and my first play by the time I was 13.

During university I became much more disiplined, and determined in my persuit of becoming a writer.

Storm Grant

@StormGrant

From stormgrant.com

After tossing yet another commercial bestseller aside unfinished (and deepening the dent in the wall), Storm Grant declared, "I too can write this badly!"

Apparently she doesn't write too badly after all. Just two years later, she's sold stories to Haworth, Phaze, Freya's Bower, Torquere, Lyrical, and MLR Press.

Her first print novel, Gym Dandy (m/m), is now available from MLR Press. Look also for Techno Thrall (m/f), an erotic futuristic fantasy from Lyrical Press (releasing Feb. 16.)

Her current WIP is a barely-begun mainstream urban fantasy novel: Scythe Does Matter: Death is what happens while you're making other plans.

Storm is a Board member of the Toronto chapter of the RWA and a member of the From the Heart online chapter as well. She holds a degree in business and has spent three decades working in marketing and administration. Her writing experience includes commercial copywriting, as well as fiction. She lives in Toronto, Canada, with her husband and a miscellany of rescued pets and a rather messy house.

Jane Green

@janegreen

From janegreen.com

Jane Green Warburg, who writes as Jane Green, was born in London and has lived in Connecticut for seven years. One of the founding writers behind the genre known as 'chick lit', Green now writes novels that reflect the lives of real women today, with all the trials and tribulations that come with real life: from in-laws, motherhood, mid-life crises and loss, all of which are told with Green's trademark warmth, wit and wisdom.

She began her writing career in entertainment journalism and P.R., the sort of glamorous-sounding but low-wage salt mines in which readers might expect to find a Bridget Jones, or, to take an example from Green's own fiction, a Jemima Jones. She moved up to become a feature writer at The Daily Express in London, where she became known for her wry take on dating and relationships.

The winner of a Cosmopolitan Fun Fearless Fiction Award, contributor to the most recent Chicken Soup for the Soul: Power Moms book, Jane Green Warburg lives with her husband, Ian Warburg, and their blended families of six children, in Connecticut, where her passions are food, gardening and throwing parties.

When not attempting to juggle running the lives of small people, a household and a career, she can usually be found either cooking, or covered in dirt, planting vegetable seeds.

Andrew Sean Greer

@agreer

From andrewgreer.com

Andrew Sean Greer was born in Washington, DC, the son of two scientists. He studied writing at Brown University, where he was the Commencement Speaker at his own graduation. After years in New York working as a chauffeur, television extra and unsuccessful writer, he moved to Missoula, MT, where he received his MFA from the University of Montana. He soon moved to San Francisco and began to publish in magazines before releasing a collection of his stories, How It Was for Me. His first novel, The Path of Minor Planets, was published to much acclaim in 2001, and his second book, The Confessions of Max Tivoli, came out in 2004. John Updike first put this novel on the literary map when, in the pages of The New Yorker, he called it "enchanting, in the perfumed, dandified style of disenchantment brought to grandeur by Proust and Nabokov." Mitch Albom then chose Max for the Today Show Book Club and it soon became a bestseller. The New York Times has written that in his new novel, The Story of a Marriage, Greer ascends "to the heights of masters like Marilynne Robinson and William Trevor."
