The Ultimate Project

What's this Project for? This Project is for those who want to create their own Home Entertainment System. This Lens will explain through what is the difference between LCD TV's, Plasma TV's, and Projector's. You may also been ask: What Size of screen should I have? What kind of Speakers I should have? What Should I have, a DVD player, or a Blu-Ray DVD player? What the difference between a DVD and a BLU-Ray? Should I have A DVD player built into a VCR? What Kind of Sound System should I be looking for? What kind of cables should I use to hook up my PlayStation 3 to my TV and Stereo? How can I hook up my Personal Computer to my Television and Stereo?

Here I'll try to find the best answer just for you. I'll explain different types of cable are used to hook up your electronics together, cable converters so you can hook up your computer to your TV, different methods to hook up a video game console to your television and stereo system. As a short story I'll try to find all about Home theater systems, and try to give the best suggestion for you. It doesn't matter if you have a small department, or you have a very large room that you do not know what you should do with it, even in your own car. So stay in tune to see what you could do to build your own Home Theater System.

!!! Price Warning:!!! It%u2019ll Be Expensive

Looking at other ideas for this project, the price could be more %u201CInexpensive%u201D than the retail.

This will be a little tight in your budget, maybe a little tighter than a little tight. Since we are looking for large and clear screens, and stereo equipment that has ultra sharp sounds, we are looking at around $10,000 project perhaps even larger. If you have a small room, luckily your budget will be reduced, for other ideas that may help your wallet, go look into clearance sales, or keep an eye out for a "Rarely used" TVs, and Stereo equipment in Second hand stores. Bargaining is a great thing to have to do this kind of project. You also can make a good but cheap entertainment centre, but this centre will be mostly second hand stuff that was used well, like an old color TV, an old stereo and speakers which still has good sound, but these second hand stuff could go into a pile of crap within a day or in a week, you do not know, so if you want the guaranteed life long product, it's a good idea to buy it brand new, or buy it in a clearance sales.

If you want something new that will more reliable, more than likely you have to pay more. For an all-new Home Theater system's that has a 65" TV with a PlayStation 3 and a Xbox 360 with a butt load of accessories and games, plus High Performance Speakers that are ultra sharp and their built for a life time, I would be guessing that your going to be spending at least 10,000 big ones. One of the most things that will suck a lot of money is the 65" TV.

In a Clearance Sale Paper, for a 65" Full HD LCD TV, Brand name: Sharp, it's worth $4990, that's not including Taxes ether, so you'll be spending approximately $5000. In the exact paper, an Xbox 360 Package, it's worth $629.95, and for a DVD player 49.95, not including the $499.97 or $699.97 sofa. That's approximately $6180 right there. So you know this is a large project. Since a 65" TV is probably to large for that entertainment room you're planning, probably half of the size you're looking for, lucky it's 10X less in price than the 65" TV. To compare: In a Clearance Sale Paper, for a 65" Full HD LCD TV, Brand name: Sharp, it's worth $4990, but in the exact paper, a 32" LCD TV, Brand Name: Sony it's worth $648, that's approximately a $4342 savings.

Of course the cost of this project may differ, through prices in stores, the size of TVs, etc., but you can make this project cheaper by what I have already said, from clearance sales, or used sales. What I also said earlier, this is approximately a $10,000 Project, you may have some extra cash after words [A good idea to use that extra cash for a "Thank You" gift for your Wife or Girlfriend :)].
So if you want a cheap/used theatre, probably it'll be less reliable than the expensive theatre, how ever, if you want a Life time guaranteed television, it'll be heavier on your wallet.

Places to Shop

If you are in a Blackberry coma and you are in a mall, Wake up and look around.

There are tons of places to look for Home Entertainment equipment, The Brick, Radio Shack, The Source, Sears, and so many other places to visit, look around, since I do not know what kind of room you have, try to find a good size of a TV screen that will fit in your room.

Since you are glued on your computer screen or Blackberry, you can also visit most of these places online. You can also visit online marketplaces such as Ebay and Amazon for New and Second hand goods, of course this isn't the only online place to find Home Entertainment Equipment, and other equipment you may be interested in.

What are the basic%u2019s for this Project

I'll be honest here this is an easy question, a TV screen, sound, and something that would require the two, like a DVD player, or a Videogame console. Ok, ok, you want more details about this, as I have said earlier the price always differ between the sizes of screens, retail places, and if it is new or old. If you want something portable in your car or a van, go VERY small, like a '5" TV and a DVD player only' small. For a small room in your house you would like to have a little more than a 5" TV and a DVD player, you may want a more like a 25" TV, DVD Player, VHS player, Cable TV, and a Video game console or two. There are a lot of other things to add up to you're TV, like a stereo and a couple of speakers so the sound would be better. As I said this is an easy question, my answer to this is that there are a lot of things that could be add on to your entertainment centre.

What kind of cables should I use?

Ok, first of all about the equipment your about to hook up, I highly recommend that the equipment has a large variety of outlets, so you wouldn't have to worry that if you do not have enough plugs to have another piece of equipment hook up to it.

Another thing I like to recommend is to have a lot and a variety of Cable Adaptors, so incase you have a piece of equipment that doesn't have the right outlet to connect to the existing equipment, you can use the adaptor that you've stash away to connect it.

One more thing I recommend is to have a lot and a variety of different cables so you do not have to worry to run out of them or do not have to worry that you do not have the right cable. The highlighted word I want you to focus upon is "a lot" when it comes to cables, through a lot of cables, cable adaptors, and a lot of plugs so you do have to worry about running out. Also keep an eye out for some cables that are specifically meant for one type of equipment you have no idea if you are going to get it some time in the future.

Now about the types of cables, there are certain cables that only provide Mono sound. Mono means that all of the speakers will have the same sound as each other, some other cables will provide Stereo sound, this kind of sound is that the sound will be different between left side and right side. Some other cables will provide better sound and video than other cables, so always take a look what each cables does when they are being used, so you can get the BEST quality while using your equipment.

Suggestion%u2019s for speakers

There are a lot of different speakers out there, for a reason that some speakers sound crappier than another is because of the material's being used for the sound. This is for the reason why I am recommending the company "Bowers & Wilkins" for speakers. I never heard how well these speakers are, but what I have learned about these speakers, made me want these speaker on my wish list. It seems like this company has reinvented the speakers, through the materials being used for the tweeters, the base, and even the architecture of the case are built specially for the sound. I know these speakers are expensive, but this is why I have recommended these speakers because they are built for a life time.

Are you a kind of person that multi-task?

If you are a person that multi-task all the time I would recommend having multiple screens, because you can use the computer, watch TV, and play videogames at once, or what ever you do while you multi-task, while you have multiple screens. But the down side is that the screens would suck a lot of power, that'll cause a large power bill. So find a screen that has very low watts, and try to get a couple so you can multi-task without the large bill. This may or may not be a great idea but it is a idea if you are looking for solutions for the ones that multi-task all the time.
