How to Use the Power of Affiliate and Viral Marketing

There's a new ebook on Ultimate SuperTips which I like to refer to and has become very popular.

It presents a strategy for selling any type of product using methods which will never become obsolete. Plus an ingenious twist which will send your traffic rocketing.

The Ultimate SuperTip, written by Harvey Segal (Mr SuperTips) is neatly set out, easy to follow, written without hype and not littered with annoying links.

And the cost of this book ?

It's free !

And it ends with an amazing idea for making you money from the book itself.

Search Engine Optimization and the Ultimate SuperTips

Actually, this is how seo and ultimate supertips from Harvey link to each other

Imust admit that when I read this lens again and again, I felt that I've done a disservice for you the reader simply because I did not connect the dot. If you come here looking for SEO tips from the ultimate supertip, and all that you see is an e cover of a free e book and a link to it, hell, I'll be dissapointed myself. What's the link between those two? How? And that's exactly what I've set myself to do here; to show you what seo strategies being mentioned in the ultimate supertips.

Actually, there's NONE SEO strategy mention in this free e book. Huh?! I know. When I choose to put this lens under SEO, I was then young and growing. You know how that's feel right? But having learned the ropes throughout the year, I should've known better and should put this lens under different topic.

But I was scared s**t to losing my rank...honestly

And that's exactly what Harvey touched in the ultimate supertips. He said,"I asked Google to stop spidering me." Why? Because he no longer wants to depend on the search engine to bring in the traffic to his supertips site.

And that's how the Ultimate SuperTip and SEO connect

Web traffic connect both of them. Harvey said there's nothing better to bring traffic to your site than the top placement on the Search Engine. But we all know to well that getting to the top of search engines is one thing, maintaining it is another.

That's when Harvey decided NOT to depend on the Search engines. So what his strategy instead?

He uses the power of viral marketing. He combines the power of free ebook on a hot, in demand topic, pre-sell by powerful article distribution, and promoted through targeted, sometimes free, channels e.g forum and article directories.

And the thing is, after doing this for quite some times, he notices a few problem like e book rebranding, affiliate linking, 'link hijacking', etc, etc. So he look around and found no desirable solution. So he...

Created his own viral marketing and e book rebranding solution!

From the complexity of downloading an e book, downloading a rebrand program, Harvey's solution described succinctly in the ultimate supertip, is to give out just a link.

That's right; ONE link...

But do you know the best part is?

The best part is; Harvey gets to do all the hardwork of coming up with the solution and you, Yes! You get to come out and claim all the glory with an interesting viral strategy twist. And the twist beats any form of SEO if you have something like the Ultimate SuperTip and Harvey Segal viral marketing tool.

Pheww! Glad to get this one off my chest now...

One Important Lesson From The Whole Ultimate SuperTip Ebook

But this is not for everyone (don't say I did't warn you...)

If I can summarize the whole 30 odd pages of the Ultimate Supertip, and put it into one important lesson, then this is it: the best way to get long term profit online is by owning a product (notice the word "owning a product").

Harvey Segal, the author, said,"...owning a product" NOT "create a product."

What's the difference?

There are a lot but maybe I just list a few, just to put thing into perspective.

First, owning a product can simply means you 'create' a product and own the right to that product. Since creating a product is too much hassle to most of us Internet Millionaire wannabe, not many can spend the time and energy to produce one. And there's alternative: acquire the right to a product.

In other words, get the "resale rights" to a product or software or template or service or whatever...

Resale rights basically come in to form: 'private label resale rights' (PLR) and 'master resale right' (MRR). There are variations to these like 'limited private resale right' or plain 'resale right' but for simplicity, lets just stick to two.

What is Private Resale Rights?

Private resale rights give you the right to alter or call the product 'my own product.' You can claim that you created it (even though you're not), change the product name, change the content or change everything you heart desire about the product.

After that, you can decide whether to sell the product as it is, or sell it as a customize version with your own ebook cover, sales letter, or even change the format e.g. to video or audio. It's totally up to you.

You pay one time and you milk the profit over and over.

And you can even offer that for free as a lead generation 'bribe' in Giveaway event, or offered it through your squeeze page on your own site and do the e-mail follow up.

And you can get a bunch of these e-books, softwares, or templates that comes with PLR, MRR or plain resale right with heavily discount price at online convenient ebook store

That's private label resale rights.

I've mentioned that you can sell PLR and give your customer MRR or "master resell rights" and this is another form of ownership you can get.

But what's the difference?

Obviously you can't offer PLR to your next customer if you just have master resale rights license.

But most of the time, you can offer either the same MRR or you just offer Resale Rights to them. With MRR, they can sell the whole package, put their name on the product as co-producer and start selling right after that.

With resale rights, they can only sell the product as it is. They can't make any alteration whatsoever to the product. The only exception is for the 'order button' (don't forget to change that one or you'll be left wondering why you're not making a single cent :)

I've a lengthy discussion about the MRR, PLR and resale rights issue at my buy ebook online blog.

Now, does all these "ownership" makes owning a product much easier? I bet they are and that's why Harvey emphasized in the ultimate supertip that if he ever going to start all over again with Internet Marketing, he won't bother himself with creating his own product. He'll just focus on the lucrative world of resale rights or more lucrative private label rights.

This would have cut short his 'making the profit time' by not having to put extra resources on money and energy on 'creating his own product.'

If you're anything like me, you must have read this ebook more than twice. I know you really want to get to the promise of 'how to sell anything' online. And Harvey Segal proved that with his compelling case studies.

And I believe him, totally.

So if you are, then you must know by now that the way Harvey did what he does, was through 'owning a product he didn't even create' and promote that product through his unique "viral marketing strategy" which he outline extensively throughout the Ultimate SuperTip.

If the 'master' did that, why shouldn't you? Think about it. And that's my friend is the most important lesson in ultimate super tip: don't create, just own it.

Link Changes For Affiliates of Ultimate SuperTips

News on a BIG changes

Just a few days ago, there's a notification about Ultimate SuperTips affiliate link changes by Mr. Supertips Harvey Segal himself. I'm not going to spell out the whole message over here but just for fun, I'm going to make some 'calculated' guess for this motion.

Before I proceed, here's the reason why Harvey did that (as printed in his email):

1. Better affiliate identification and customization. In the near future, Harvey plans to integrate more function for his affiliate including onsite tracking (that's cool ;).
2. Allowing more third party payment processor and not limiting to Paypal only. This will obviously allow more affiliates to join and get paid with less hassle because let's face it, not everybody loves Paypal, right?

That's Harvey's reasons but I'm more attracted to why he's changing it NOW.

If my 'reading between the lines' is accurate, I can see that Mr. Supertips has changed his affiliate manager system. He's still using Clickbank, no doubt, but for his other affiliate, he's engaging another system.

Maybe a new system so that's enable him to bring in more affiliates or as Harvey like to call it, a 'stampede' of affiliates to promote his awesome free product.

His previous promotions which rely heavily on affiliates and viral marketing had been extraordinary and I got a feeling that this is going to be 'Super extra'. Why?

Maybe he needs more capital.

A new system, a new program and some unforeseen circumstances call for 'insurance' and the best insurance I've known so far is 'cash in hand'. It beats any form of insurance hands down.

Plus

If there's an opportunity to be taken advantage of, that cash can immediately becomes a solid partner no one can refuse (you won't refuse it if I pay cash will you?).

And here's another speculation

Starting from April 2008, Google Adwords is going to make one IMPORTANT change to its destination URL policy. In short, 'what you see is what you get'. What you display on Adwords ads URL must match your ads destination URL with very little exception especially for those using tracking services or software.

I believe, a significant sum of Harvey's affiliate is using Google Adwords to promote the package. I mean, for 10 bucks that you going to get or maybe 37 bucks (backend sale) going straight to your payment processor account (not only Paypal), a fraction of the amount say, 5 bucks going to PPC is a already a decent profit and if you're savvy enough to learn the best practice for pay-per-click, you can keep you cost down and profit up.

But that's another story.

Having a change in how a link look helps in optimizing advertising and it's best to promote it through your own domain, if you haven't own one already.

I think, that's the whole idea of this link policy change by Google: to encourage more people to own their own domain. But then again, this is a topic for another story.

For now, let's sum this up

You now know that Harvey Segal has made a change to his Ultimate SuperTips affiliate link. You have more choice of payment processor to receive your commission. And you also know my speculation to why Mr. Supertips did this.

If you have no idea, don't worry. Just open your mind and take a look here: Ultimate SuperTips

That's the main reason behind Ultimate SuperTips affiliate link changes.

How 'Not' to Depend on Search Engines - Superb Tip

Don't be a Search Engine slave

If the success or failure of your online business depends precariously on the whims of the search engines take a tip from Harvey's book The Ultimate SuperTip.

Forget about them !

See what it means...

----------------------------------------------

It's Goodbye To Google
by Harvey Segal

You read that right.

I've told Google to push off.

Stop spidering me.

I no longer want my online business to depend on its ever changing whims as to what makes a good or bad ranking.

I don't want to spend time collecting thousands of
backward links then find that they are probably worthless because the anchor text does not contain a suitable keyword, or the site does not have sufficient page rank, or whatever the latest algorithm is.

I don't want to buy expensive cloaking tools and run the risk of penalization.

I don't want to be bothered about whether a domain has a static or dynamic IP address or have to use different hosts to make a network of minisites.

What's that you say ? You don't need fancy tricks - just provide good relevant content.

My answer ?

Nonsense.

I have a huge content site devoted solely to ClickBank, the only one of its kind.

If you wanted to find the most relevant content for a search on the keyword 'ClickBank' don't you think that would be at the top ?

Well Google used to agree with you.

It was ranked number 2, with only ClickBank.com itself at number one.

Today it is ranked ... wait for it ... number 426.

It is beaten out of sight by sites which have nothing to do with ClickBank but happen to mention that keyword once.

I asked a search engine expert about this and he suggested that it was due to keyword density, in other words too many mentions of the word ClickBank.

Well that has to be the case - the site is after all a 'Complete Guide to ClickBank'

His advice - try replacing the word ClickBank occasionally e.g. use 'CB'.

No way.

That was the last straw and became the inspiration for me to develop a revolutionary approach to getting traffic.

It led to me being called 'The Guru who said goodbye to Google' in the marketing forums.

And this new approach ?

It uses some of the fundamental pillars of Internet
marketing that you already know - techniques which will never become obsolete.

But they are combined together in a new way and with a viral twist that you won't have seen before.

It includes giving out free information in a certain way and I show you how exactly in my book, The Ultimate SuperTip.

And just to illustrate the principle: the book is free and you can reproduce this article and change the URL to point to your own rebranded version.

Read the 31-page book which took the Internet by storm.

Use Viral Ebooks - 4 Good Reasons

Virus is book form

It is a well known and widely accepted fact, that E-books...FREE E-books...are one of the best weapons in a viral marketing campaign arsenal. Here are four good reasons why this is true today and will continue to be true for the foreseeable future:

1. E-books are cheap to produce and don't take long to set up. If you have articles that you have already written about the subject you are promoting, you can simply combine these articles into an E-book. If, on the other hand, writing isn't your forte, you can use rebrandable E-books that have been produced by others. Just use your favorite search engine and do a web search for "rebrandable E-books". You will get a lot of hits and have many to choose from. One way to distribute these E-books to visitors to your website is to give them as a free gift for subscribing to your newsletter. If your E-book contains material that people will want to share with their friends and family, they will pass it along to them%u2026 they will pass it along to others%u2026and you will make money.

2. E-books are capable of reaching a large audience. The only limiting factor is the enthusiasm or the participants. Therefore, it is absolutely vital that your E-book contain something that people will want to share like timely information or humor. Remember that people like to know something that the rest of the world needs to know. They will pass along something that makes them look like they are in-the-know.

3. E-books are a way to sell other products other than the one you originally targeted. For example; if you are selling garden products, your customers could also be interesting in E-books about lawns, trees landscaping, etc.

4. E-books are effective in building your reputation. It is an implied recommendation if you give a quality E-book and users willing pass on to others.

How to Bring More Traffic To Your Website - Affiliate Marketing

Traffic generatio starategy which will never let you down

Even if you are already using the Internet to market your business, you should consider adding affiliate marketing to you Internet marketing campaign. Affiliate marketing, when done right, can yield a great deal of positive results for your business.

Furthermore, even when affiliate marketing is not done right, it will not likely be financially detrimental to the business. This is because affiliate marketing is essentially an advertising program in which you only pay the affiliates when their marketing efforts yield financial results for your business.

Laet's take a look at affiliate marketing and explain how it works and how you can maximize the benefits of affiliate marketing.

Affiliate marketing essentially involves having website owners, known as affiliates, post advertisements for your website on their own website. You can learn more about affiliate marketig by checking out the Ultimate SuperTips.

Affiliate advertisements encourage visitors to click on the link and visit your website. The advertisements are specially coded to allow you to determine how many visitors enter your website through this advertisement.

Unlike other types of Internet advertising where the business owner pays for the opportunity to place the advertisement on the website, an affiliate program does not work this way. Instead the affiliate is paid when the advertisement yields a desired result.

Affiliate advertisement can work on a pay per impression, pay per click, pay per lead or pay per sale basis. Pay per impression means the affiliate earns a profit each time the affiliate advertisement is served. This means for each unique visitor who views the advertisement the affiliate is given a predetermined amount of money.

This amount will depend on a number of factors and will be agreed upon by the business owner and the affiliate before the advertisements begin appearing on the affiliate's website.

Pay per click programs reward the affiliate each time a visit clicks through the advertisement.

Pay per lead programs reward the affiliate when a visitor not only clicks on the advertisement but also performs a desired action such as filling out a survey or registering with the website.

Pay per sale programs reward the affiliate each time a visitor clicks through the advertisement on the affiliate's website and also makes a purchase during this visit.

The compensation plans associated with affiliate programs are so desirable because the business owner can have a number of affiliates and they only have to pay these affiliates if the advertising on the affiliate's website is effective.

Affiliate marketing does not always work. When seeking out affiliates it is important to look for a number of different factors.

An affiliate with a great deal of experience, a website with high traffic and a proven track record for producing positive results will likely be a good choice for an affiliate marketing program.

These affiliates rely on their advertising knowledge to promote the businesses and do not necessarily have to understand the business they are promoting.

Another excellent choice for affiliate marketing is to select another business that is closely related to your own business but does not compete with your business. This is a good idea because they may share your target audience and their website visitors will also likely be interested in visiting your website as well.

For example if you sell running shoes you may wish to run an affiliate marketing campaign on a website that promotes road races such as marathons, half marathons, 10Ks and 5Ks. This website does not directly compete with your business but they are likely to attract an audience that would be interested in and have a need for your products or services.

Deciding whether or not to implement an affiliate marketing campaign is easy. As we previously mentioned there is very little risk in this type of campaign so it is worthwhile in just about any situation.

A more important decision to make is how you plan to compensate your affiliates. The compensation for pay per impression programs is typically pretty low because your business is not necessarily generating a sale from each impression.

Conversely, pay per sale programs usually compensates the affiliate better because the business does directly generate a profit from the advertising on the affiliate's website. This amount may a flat fee or a percentage of the sale depending on the affiliate agreement.
