Unique Designs Crafting
Unique Designs is my way of helping save the landfills and produce beautiful clocks, pictures, furniture and an endless possibility of things using recycled/used material and my imagination. Along with using recycled materials Unique Designs produces no waste because everything has a use in the present or future design. All Designs are handcrafted! Each one taking 5-7 days to complete. Special orders are more then welcome. Personalized with your favorite photo, poem or anything else to make it unique and your own. pet photos, family photos. Have a friend who's hard to buy for? The designs are endless!
Made from 1917 wood flooring from a house that was being renovated. This particular design was used to make a sign for an antique business. Lots of floor boards left. Designs can be made into all different shapes and sizes. This is the natural wood. There are no stains or anything used. In some of them you can actually see footprints, indents and such from all the years of being walked on.Designs are made from more then just wood. From framed photos with their own uniqueness to prints on poster board and even furniture. If you can imagine it, Unique Designs can make it!
FACT: In 1917 they didn't have buffers and laquers that we use today to make our floors shine. They used black tea! Imagine that!

Only 4 left! This is a sample of a clock that can be personalized. The one shown was ordered. The plaque that it is on was going to be thrown away, never used! This is what started Unique Designs. This is one of many photos with woodburning. photos can be up to 8x10. All wood is used. These are always available with one of my photos or one of yours. Wood burning is optional. There are some with just the photo. The type of wood used depends on availability at the time.Fact: Don't be fooled the next time you purchase something made of "natural wood"(with no stains).
You can see the difference if you look at the edge of the wood. If it's stained it will be the same color or darker, if it's natural it will be lighter!

This started out as an entertainment center. After rescuing it from the landfill, it has become many different designs. One being this candle holder. Many other designs are in progress with this material. check back soon for more! Plant stand
This plant stand was made from old picture frames.The top is paneling from the 1970s. Like all of the designs, It's the only one available. Pricing
Even though 95% of each design is made from recycled/used material, the cost to retrieve the material and so forth, costs. As much as I would love to give them away, I can't, so I do the best that I can to keep the prices at a minimum. Alot of designs "in progress" are waiting for interest. All prices are per design, so, if your interested in a particular item, please, contact me for a price.
