Unique Baby Gifts Guide

Whenever a new little baby is born, it opens our eyes to the world of opportunities. Someone new and full of potential has entered into our lives, and we are blessed with the opportunity to see that person grow and mature over the years. We truly are fortunate to be part of a new persons life. To be able to be a part of their lives, to influence their life, and help guide them in whatever capacity we can is a gift.

Perhaps we're getting a little ahead of ourselves. Little Miss or Mr Little Person has just landed on planet Earth, and we need to get them a gift. Something special, something unique. After all, a brand new baby is unique in their own right, and buying a unique baby gift seems like just the right thing to do. We don't need the same old stuffed bear or dinosaur that everyone else buys, but something that speaks to the unique character of our newest little friend.

While we are buying a baby gift, junior is really too young to appreciate the finer things in life, so what we're really buying, is a gift that Mom and Dad will appreciate. That's not to say junior won't get a chance to use it, I'm just saying, it's important to take into the parents thoughts when getting the gift. A present that all three will appreciate, is much more likely to be used and valued.

Handmade baby gifts are of course a great idea and bound to be very appreciated by all. Considering the time and care put into a baby gift, it's no wonder. Whoever said, it's the thought that counts obviously had handmade gifts in mind. They do take a little more care, time and planning. The end resulting gift is quite often very special though.

While we can't all be knitters, or crocheters, or skilled artisans in the fine art of homemade gift making, there is a compromise. Perhaps buying a gift and then adding a personalized touch to that sweater, set of PJs or hat will satisfy the handmade component of your gift making, without going all out, and knitting an entire baby wardrobe.

Or perhaps, this is a great time to learn to knit. A simple pair of hand made booties, or scarf would mean so much more, when Mom and Dad find out it was your very first creation. While you may have a few disasters before that pair of booties looks really good, it will be worth the time.
