Britain - A Paradise to Paranormal Believers

Britain better known to be the land of Queens and Kings the castles its Royal nature and much more. But one thing tat cannot be left behind is the number of haunted places with in the Britain. Britain is a place where paranormal believers are respected and a place which caters to make their belief on paranormal phenomena even stronger.
Britain is thousands of years old, and it has always been considered that the older the place the more haunted it will be. There are hundreds of ancient buildings and most of them are said to be haunted, and so it becomes the most desired place to visit for the mystery believers.

The Haunted Places
Although there are numerous haunted buildings and places in Britain which are haunted but here are some which are considered to be the uncanny.

Highgate Cemetry
When burial conditions in London became intolerable in the early 19th Century, Parliament authorised the establishment of seven private Cemeteries within the periphery of inner London. Of these Highgate was opened in 1839 (the West Cemetery) and extended in 1854 (the East Cemetery). As soon as the night dawns the highgate cemetery looks like something shown in a horror film. Headless angles covered in ivy, Eerie crooked gravestones, dark overgrown passages between the tombs add to the horror. As this is a cemetery and the ghosts have always considered being the reminiscent of the dead it is indeed Britain's one of the most haunted places.

Borley Rectory
Situated in Essex, Borley is a small hamlet on the borders of Essex and Suffolk, lying between Sudbury and Long Melford. The stories of Borley Rectory mainly revolve around a phantom nun first seen in 1929. This is considered to be the 'The Most Haunted House in England'. The building was destroyed in 1939 by a fire, to make the spooky things happen this incident took place, or constrict the ghost hunters or paranormal science believers visiting the site.

Pendle Hill
It is situated in Lancashire,. This place is widely called as Pendle Witch Country. In the close vicinity, there is the site of Britain's most grim rather famous witch trial - which is known as the case of the 'Witches of Pendle'. Badly infamous as witches were hanged at during 1612 at Lancaster Castle, they were ten in numbers and it's said they still make that area haunted.

Red Lion Inn
Situated in Wiltshire The 400-year-old Red Lion Inn in Wiltshire is one of the Britain's most haunted pubs. Pubs located in Britain are often known as haunted. These rumours may float on the air as there located buildings which are century-old or perhaps due to the reason that even ghosts like to enjoy them and treat them with a pint. The pub located inside Avebury stone circle is a World Heritage site and famous as the largest stone circle in Europe. That's why it accelerates the mood of the ambience much higher.

Ancient Ram Inn, Wotten-under-Edge
Situated in Gloucestershire, Ancient Ram Inn is a place where whether you are a ghost-believer or not, any excursion to this place would make you believe. Its cold bare walls, creaky floorboards, earthy smells and low-light corner and crannies epitomize everything a haunted house should be. And the stories attached to this creepy building are right from murder, satanism to child sacrifice and it's established on a burial ground apparently.
