Allah Loves Those Who Obey Him... Does He Love Those Who Hate Him?

Ergun Caner says that there is no place in the Kor'an saying that Allah loves those who hate him, only that Allah loves those who obey him. Compare that to Christ, who died for the ungodly while they were yet sinners, and you have the reason why Dr. Caner, a former Muslim, converted to Christianity. It was the ultimate expression of Christ's divine Love toward His enemies that won Caner's heart.

If you are a Muslim, I want you to know that I understand the implications of conversion to any other religion. I personally am a Jew who converted to Christianity; I experienced familial rejection, but the consequences of choosing religion based upon personal research and discovery are far worse for Muslims than for Jews. My experiences with family rejection are small in comparison to what Dr. Caner and other former Muslims have decided to risk. Muslims risk losing their families, friends, neighbors, country, culture, and (for some) even their lives. Fortunately, for Dr. Caner, his family was merciful about his conversion.

For the sake of knowing for yourself... for your personal quest for the truth and experiencing this incomprehensible divine Love, please give Dr. Caner an ear for a moment. Yes, it is powerful, it is liberating, and it is potentially life changing. Hang on to your seat, be brave, and consider what the Source of such a great Love is. Reasoning tells us that this kind of ultimate love can only come from someone higher than ourselves... our Maker.

Trusting Him,

Whit

"This is fascinating. Two former Muslims talk about Islam from the inside. It's a fairly simple but complete read, among other things I think I now get why we supported Iraq as opposed to Iran. I'm not really sure how to describe it, but I think in this day and age, we all need to read it."

LoveYour Enemies

WhitU4ever says:

Jesus claims his deity continuously throughout the four gospels. Read the book of John. The first chapter says: "In the beginning was the Word... and the Word was with God, and the Word was God... And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us..." The only Word made flesh is Jesus, Who said, "...I AM..." to Pontius Pilate before being crucified. He humbled Himself by coming to us in the form of a man... and then He died for us so that we could live. We were His enemies. We hated Him, and in return, He loved us anyway. The disciples ask His followers to love one another the same way that Jesus loved us. Not all will hear His words or believe what He says. But to those who do, He promised eternal life.

Adam says:

"Ergun Caner says that there is no place in the Kor'an saying that Allah loves those who hate him"

Show me anywhere in the Bible where Jesus says" I am God, I am the son of God or I love those how hate me. Please reply in this page. I will check it later.

as for Dr. Ergun, his profile is one intended for Christians who either doubt the Bible or contemplating leaving Christianity. He claims to have been a devout Muslim, but miserably fails to even say the shahada, and mangles every faith related Arabic word beyond recognition.
I completely understand that unsuspecting Christians view him as genuine ex-Muslim, but a Muslim can spot his phony profile right away. That is why I believe Missionaries, alarmed by Christians leaving their religion, made him the key to prevent that from happening. in other words, " look at this guy, an ex-devout Muslim who became a Christian." looks great huh.

I didn't like it.

I think that Ergun Caner is a fake ex muslim and that mokhan247 has already proven it

Who Am I?

I am biased... on purpose. I discriminate, but not between races, sexes, social classes, etc. I discriminate between right and wrong; holy and perverted; good and evil; just and unjust. Turning a blind eye to the differences between these things (in the name of equality) never fails to place one on the backward side of every issue.
