Never Stop Learning How to Create Better Squidoo Lens

This my aide-memoire of useful squidoo lens, websites and stuff which I use to improve my own lens and boost their traffic.You will certainly pick up at least one good lens or website here. I've been on Squidoo for 3 years and am a Level 60 Giant Squid but I still learn a new trick everyday mostly be visiting other lensmaster's lens.

Hot Squidoo Tips

Everything I learn About Squidoo

  1. Primary tag not related = you need to have your primary tag a couple of times at least in your lens and to take into account LSI factors
    More secondary tags = you need more tags that support the primary tag eg, cats, cat boxes, cat carriers, boxes, and a reasonable number of  tags....
    Tags are in different colors to indicate their popularity as tags on squidoo - red = few or no other lenses with that tag, shading through to pink as more lenses have those tags.  Greens indicate more tags, the stronger the green the more the tags...

    The tag health comment needs to be taken 'under advisement' as sometimes it can be a little off, it is also better to develop your tags as the lens ages and you see what people are looking for, as well as how your lens itself develops.  The color, or tag popularity, is more relevant in the early stages.  Red, or unique tags, are not good unless they are the primary tag and/or you have tested them out thoroughly in something like Market Samurai and found a key phrase that no one else has come across!

    Do remember that you must include your primary tag as an ordinary tag as well or it will not be used.

My Top Squidoo Tip

If you have been in the habit of making notes, guides and help pages for yourself on your PC, why not turn them into a Squidoo Lens? You never know you might get traffic and make some commission. A friend of mine created a test lens just to try out Squidoo features and one day made a sale from it! So get your notes up into a lens and see what happens the Internet is a funny place. One of my brilliant lens (in my humble opinion) gets no traffic http://www.squidoo.com/internet-marketing-glossary while another effortlessly gets loads http://www.squidoo.com/Routemaster-Bus but that's the name of the game; and could swap round anyway

Firstly they are absolutely free, usually no attribution required (though I like to attribute), a huge and wide selection. Brilliant! My stress at finding suitable images is over!!
