From the lens Vedic Math: Ancient Wisdom for the Future.

Vedic Mathematics and Hindu culture are intertwined to an extant that separating the two would be tantamount to a sacrilege. The birth of Vedic Mathematics is lost in the womb of time. They are based upon the ancient Vedic literature or the Vedas. The exact date when the Vedas were written is not clear. Different dates are given by different authorities.

I have an alternative answer to your video about why 9=0.

Both are the last numbers before a change in value. From 0 to 1 begins 1 digit, from 9 to 10 begins 2 digits, from 99-100 begins 3, etc. All are either 0 or a multiple of 9.

I love this! Just discovered it about two hours ago LOL. My daughter is in special ed - a right brained creative thinker like me. Im teaching her this so that she can gain a more positive experience with numbers. I also work as an educational assistant with grade 7,8,9 kids who have learning disabilities etc. They are terrified of math and just feel they will never understand it. This is a way they can compute and succeed and gain some confidence and hopefull a little wonder and curiosity about math! Im very excited!
