Verbal Contact is comprised of Darrell "The Saint" Thomas and Blaze-1. Fundamentally, their number one goal is to take the message of Christ to the world, and they do so with a unique sound and style. By having a universal sound, people from all over the world can relate and feel the music as intended. Verbal Contact has taken their love of old-school R&B, Rock, Jazz, Blues, Country and, most of all, Gospel to bring a diversity to their music often unseen in the rap world.

Some of Verbal Contact greatest successes to date include: performing at the "2002 Winter Olympics" in Salt Lake City, Utah; performing for over 10,000 people at the Pepsi Dome; finalists in the "1999 MTV/Loud Records Ultimate Hip-Hop Talent Search"; performing in front of 6,000 people as the "2001 N.A.C.A. National Main Stage Act" at the Operyland Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee; "Best Hip-Hop/Rap Group" at the Midwest Entertainment Awards; and, most recently, they won the award for "Holy Hip-Hop Group of the Year" at the 2008 King Cat Christian Music Awards".

The Trinity Within Me is the debut effort from Verbal Contact and a Gospel Rap classic. In a very short time span, Verbal Contact has had quite an impact in the Gospel Rap community.

The album deals with so many areas of the Bible and their own personal life stories, most of which are found commonly amongst us all. As ministers of the gospel, Saint Dog and Blaze-1 are able to translate the lessons of the Bible in a way that speaks to the younger generation in a way they can understand.
