Water Lilies Inspire Reflection

I can understand why Claude Monet painted waterlilies over and over again at Giverny, his garden estate northwest of Paris. The enormous leaves float on the water surface anchored by a submerged stalk and send forth gorgeous flowers that reflect light.

My wife and I enjoy making the pilgrimage every couple of years to Bok Tower Gardens where I photograph the water lilies cultivated at the sanctuary located in central Florida. Like other botanical gardens, this preserve seeks to protect and conserve plant species.
