  Two of the most experienced vintage buyers and stockers in the city, own this cute vintage nook. Be sure to find some 'OMG' here. Over 400 unusual and mostly coveted (by me), in their purses and handbags collection, which includes those made of metal and tapestry and wood and wool, silk, beaded, hinged, tasselled, signed and dated. Ok. You get the idea. Also the dress section..another 'Oh My'. Genuine 50s prom dresses, and 40s 50s 60s Ladies Garbadine Suits, 50s aprons, Collins bags, funky 60s boots, and there is also a good collection of Mid-century smalls, panther lamps, vintage spagetti lamps, ashtrays, vintage posters and concert tees.....

  There are more than twenty (20) co-op Vintage dealers in this large and varied shop which is a few doors from Replay Shop- (formally WearItAgainSam).
  
  You never know exactly what's on hand, as the stock changes by the hour. (Imagine 20 buyers /sellers frenzied and stocking during the course of the day.)
  
  There is a large section for Men. Yes, you heard right...many dead stock bowling shirts, vintage tees and ties, 70s bell bottom jeans, Polyester jackets in light blue, vintage Edmund Clapps and Stacy Adams shoes. Vintage alligator pumps, 60s stiletto heels and boots and Croc purses for the ladies, tapestry bags and vintage Collins collectible box bags, vintage levi's and jackets, 60s vintage halter dresses, 30s 40s 50s vintage suits and day dresses; Vintage Jewelry is plentiful and amazing...
  ...Big place with 2 floors, much vintage stuff...sure to bring the 'OMG' out of you.

  This little shop is a true oddity and full to the brim, primarily with mid-century collectibles and furniture.
  
  It is a treasure hunters mecca, with smalls from the 1940s to the 1970s, including 50s tv lamps, blacklight posters from the 70s, naughty hawaiian ashtrays and tiki cups, orange dishes, mod sculpture, spagetti lamps, lucite tables and trays.
  There is often a nice selection of Danish Modern chairs and tables, along side Genuine 60's Knoll pieces and Herman Millers, fiberglass shell chairs, Heywood Wakefield 50s coffee tables and bedroom furnishings. These pieces don't stay long, so if you see it and like it, don't wait. Scoop it up before it finds a home elsewhere.
  
  Oh yes, there is a large selection of vintage hats and vintage purses. Fine Czech rhinestone, mod signed silver pins, bakalite bracelets...just piles of unusual jewelry. (I love the selection of signed Renoir and Matisse copper jewelry..Ooh la la...

  Miss Goodeye recently met one of the owners of this very recent shop, and this is what she told me:
  
  'Beatniks is a small boutique that carries unique vintage pieces, Argentine tango shoes, swing dance shoes, plus various hand crafted works by local artist such as jewelry, pottery, artsy crafts. This shop is located in an adorable sunshine yellow bungalow nestled in the Historic Heights district. '
  
  Though I have not yet visited the location, the trip to this new spot is definitely on my soon to-do list.
