Mickey's Toontown Fair at Magic Kingdom

Visit Mickey!

Mickey's Toontown Fair is aimed at the younger visitors, but older visitor will still enjoy most of it. You can meet many favourite characters at the Toontown Fair, be sure to get autographs and photographs. Younger kids will really enjoy this.

There is a train station at the bottom end of Toontown where you can get the Magic Kingdom train back to Main Street Station and other stops around the line.

My 10 year old Daughters overall verdict : I would rather go to Space Mountain.

Mickey's Country House

Walk Through Mickey's Home.

Younger Kids will love this. They get to visit Mickey's house and see where he lives.

This is obviously a male house, sports seem to be the main theme. See the unfinished DIY, the games room. Don't forget to see Pluto's kennel is in the back yard along with the Mickey shaped fruit and veg. Then take a quick walk through the garage.

When you exit Mickey's garage you can then go through to the Judge's tent to meet Mickey himself.
As you can imagine the queues to see Mickey can be expected to be long but for those children that want to meet Mickey, get his autograph and have a picture with him, the wait is definitely worth it. Most of the queue is inside the tent so at least you are out of the hot sun.

Aim for start or end of the day to see Mickey, although if you have tired kids, start of the day may be better.

My Daughters verdict : I want to see Mickey.

Need a Guide Book for Magic Kingdom?

A guide book is really worth having before you go. Read up on the areas you plan to visit and go pre-armed. If you wait until you get there, you will waste precious time reading instead of riding. These are all recommended good buys.

Minnie's Country House

Walk Through Minnie's Home

This is next door to Mickey's Country House. Once again the Kids will love it. They get to see how Minnie lives.

The theme here is definitely much more feminine with the pink and lavender color scheme.

There are a number of interactive elements so be sure to check out the kitchen oven and microwave with the various bits and pieces that will entertain and amuse little ones.

Generally there is not much in the way of queues but it can get a bit crowded once you are inside.

There are some good photograph opportunities for the children to be photographed sitting on Minnie's furniture.

My Daughters verdict : It is ok, but can we go somewhere else now.

Toontown Hall of Fame Tent

Meet Disney Princesses and Characters

This looks like a big top from a circus. Inside you will find the County Bounty Store, where you can buy all sorts of different Disney MErchandise, mainly related to Mickey and Minnie and their pals.

There is also a Meet and Greet area where you can meet some of your favourite Disney Characters.

There are 3 lines, one for Princesses, one for Mickeys pals and one for some of the Villians.

Unlike many of the Character meetings these are in rooms where a limited number of people are present. YOu will usually get to meet at least 2 characters and often 3 in each room. The rooms are great if your children are a little shy and don't like all the other people watching.

There are usually three lines, each leading to a different room, so be sure you pick the right room. Usually the line for the Princesses is the longest.

Queues are inside the tent and so you will be out of the sun.

My Daughters verdict : Where is my Autograph book?

The Barnstormer at Goofy's Wiseacre Farm

This is a great little rollercoaster type ride designed for children. The ride is reasonably fast but still perfectly ok for even the most timid of riders. This is an ideal ride to introduce children to rollercoasters or maybe the next step of letting them queue and ride alone.

Queues are usually not too bad but there is little shelter so be wary of little ones if the sun is very hot.

Length of Ride : 1 Minute

My Daughters verdict : I'm going on, see you later.

Donald's Boat

The 'Miss Daisy' is a water based playarea for the kids to cool off and have some fun while the parents sit down for 5 minutes. There are a number of interactive elements to the boat which generally all allow the children to ring the bell and release water.

There are water jets set into the padded floor which will also keep little ones amused for hours.

Take the time to let the kids have a play and get 5 minutes rest yourself.

My Daughters verdict : I'm going to get wet again.
