Sick of Paying for the unreasonable price for WOW?
Contents at a Glance
I'm going to give you instructions on how to play on the #1 private server on the web; WOWscape.
For users whom already have the game:
(Read everything before doing anything)
1. If you want to use the server's forums, then you have to register an account directly from their website: WOWscape.net
2. To play on the private server, you have to first register there as well: Account Register
3. After that, go to your World of Warcraft folder in program files under what's usually the C drive. Find a file called "realmlist" and open it with notepad and erase everything you see there if you do not plan on ever playing on the regular servers again. If you do plan on playing there again, copy and paste the server list into another notepad and then save it somewhere you'll find it when you need it. Obviously, restore it to play regularly again.
You could also just wait for another patch update because it usually replaces your realm list file with their default one.
Once you're done making your decisions, type in: "set realmlist logon.wowscape.net" (without the quotation marks of course)
4. To go back on the normal servers, just replace the realmlist file in your WOW folder with the one which you stored elsewhere and vice versa.
For users who have not already purchased or otherwise acquired the game:
(Again, read everything before you start deleting stuff)
1. Go to this website: World of Warcraft
2. Register for the 10 day free trial version of WOW (NOT BC exp.!) and create an account on the site.
3.Download the trial launcher.
4.Open the launcher, but do not click play on the launcher, and on the news there should be a clickable link to download the full version of WOW.
5. Download it and all of its patches.
6. After that is done, go to EXODUS SERVER and download the Burning Crusade expansion pack, but still not the patches, yet.
7. From there, you can choose to download the patches either directly from the server (one by one) and possibly get better speeds (disorganized) or you can run WOW and it will automatically download the updates through the game (convenient).
8. Now read the above instructions for the group of select individuals (of which you are now privleged to be a part of) and follow them to the T!
YES, it's as easy as that!
GET THE ZBOARD!
That way you'll be completely prepared to pwn everyone!
(NOTE** The WOW/Burning Crusade Zboard requires the base zboard, so if you don't own a zboard, buy BOTH!)

- Private servers are a great way to experience the end game content without having to spend many hours leveling up for real in the Real version of the game. After a while though it becomes boring and having to deal with all the glitches is annoying.
Instead try utilizing one of the many comprehensive wow leveling gudies, I've posted reviews of all of the top guides at http://www.level-up-wow.com

You need to put the WoW launcher into the folder where you have the rest of your WoW files are.

- I dl the trial and i couldn't play it because it said "Blizzard launcher has to be in the same file as Blizzard game". i installed it twice...what do i do?

- Yes, this really works. I can confirm it. My wife and I have been playing on Scape for a few months now. Be aware that the quality of the gaming experience with a private server will never be as complete and polished as the retail version of the game. WoWscape's Legion server comes amazingly close though!
