    Unfortunately, sometimes there may be no type 2 diabetes symptoms, or they go unnoticed or they're ignored and that can be dangerous. That is why people who have high risk factors, like some of the ones you mentioned above, should be tested for diabetes.

    my mom and my dad (who passed) both have diabetes. i choose to live my life differently because it seems to me type 2 is self-inflicted. i choose to live healthy. thanks for the info.

    My grandpa died of heart failure a year ago. He was diabetic and already sick but he was taking that drug Avandia, that I'm pretty sure played a role in his heart's deterioration.

    Recent reports show Avandia use can increase the risk of heart attack by 43%! You should see if you qualify for one of the Avandia lawsuit settlements.

    My Mother and both Grandmothers on both sides of my family are diabetics, I am too. I'm pretty luck right now because my diabetes is acting well to pills, while other members of my family had to take shots.

    Both my grandmothers and my mom are diabetic, so I have good reason to be concerned about diabetes for myself. My mother-in-law was also diabetic, as is one of my sisters-in-law. This causes concern for my children and grandchildren, too. For this reason, I have been investigating how to cook for diabetics. There are lots of diabetic friendly recipes at http://www.learndiabeticcooking.com.

    when I got pregnant, i was really careful on what i eat to avoid diabetes. i remember my cousin was pregnant, she didn't know she was pregnant for four months because she is really big so she keeps on eating pork and drinking soda. when she bore the child, it was a blue baby and did not survive. the child only lived for a day.     Nutrition is absolutely crucial if you have warning signs of Diabetes or genetic predispositions (family history). If you're not getting the nutrition you need from your diet, you absolutely need to take a look at supplements. Check out my Lens: http://www.squidoo.com/NaturalMedicineDiabetes

    I Was on four insulin shots a day, Overweight and always tired, Sorted my diet out and everything else seemed to fall into place. I dont think there is a true 100% cure to reverse type 2 diabetes but there is certainly a way to control it with diet and supplements.
