The Grand National Fishing Tournament makes its debut on Panama City Beach August 20-24, 2008 and according to tournament organizers, the Grand Lagoon National will be eight tournaments in one.

Divisions will include Big Game, Charter Boat, Offshore, Inshore, Flats, Diving, Party Boat and Kayak allowing participants to fish the way they want and catch the kind of fish they want to catch. The total prize package is estimated at about $1 million to be awarded among the winners in each division.

In addition to the daily fishing tournaments, there will be an ambitious schedule of parites and special events to complement the daily fishing competitions. Tournament officials have announced that there will be a family entertainment center, sponsors' village, in-water Grand Lagoon tournament taxi service, tournament cruises, parades, food booths, fireworks displays, huge kick-off parties and live entertainment.
