Big on Performance ~ Small on Price

inside burnerThe Weber 1421001 Performer Charcoal Grill is one of the most versatile and innovative pieces of grilling equipment that any grilling aficionado would love to own.

This 22 1/2 inch charcoal grill has a large cabinet, a large work space and a gas powered charcoal grill. No lighter fluid, charcoal chimney or electric coal starter is needed for this grill ~ it features a single gas burner powered by 14 or 16 ounce disposable propane bottles that replaces the prior mechanisms mentioned. The Weber 1421001 Performer Charcoal Grill comes with a great ash catcher system that makes clean up easy. Shutting off the unit is a snap just close down the vents and let the lack of oxygen kill the fire. This will stop the remaining coals from burning any further. Once the grill is cool pull off the ash catcher and you are ready to go again. You can leave the coals in the container and they are ready to be re-lit for the next cookout.

Shopping for the "Right Grill" is as important as purchasing a Stove. Very few people will spend time in doors turning on an oven especially during the summer. You wouldn't skimp on spending money on your stove so why should you purchase an inferior grill? The Weber 1421001 Performer Charcoal Grill definitely fits the bill as being the best Grill on the market for the small price.

Grilled Corn on the Cob

Easy and Tasty

Grilled Corn on ConUsually prepare about 2 ears per person..You don't want to run out!!!!

Shop for ears of corn and look to see if the kernels small young looking and tender. Grilled Corn on the Cob is the perfect accompaniment to Grilled Beef, BBQ Chicken and BBQ Ribs.

Ingredients
Corn on Cob with Husk
Melted Butter
Salt and Pepper (Personally I like to use Grill Mates Montreal Steak Seasoning on ours)

Directions
1. Remove all of the husks except @ three to four leaves
2. Season the exposed kernels with your Salt and Pepper or the Grill Mate seasoning
3. Place on grill and turn each ear after 5 minutes of cooking to ensure that the exposed sides are grilled. Corn should be firm and golden in color
4. Remove from grill. Peel cooked husk up to top and wrap one of the leaves around the bundle to create a handle
5. Dip in melted butter

Chicago Rib-Eye Steaks with Grill-Roasted New Potatoes

ribeye steakPREP TIME: 10 MINUTES
GRILLING TIME: 20 TO 30 MINUTES

2 pounds new potatoes, each about 2 inches wide, scrubbed and quartered
4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, divided
4 tablespoons Grill Mates Montreal Steak Seasoning, divided
4 boneless rib-eye steaks, each 10 to 12 ounces and 3/4 to 1 inch thick

1. Place the potatoes in a large bowl or in a rimmed sheet pan. Add 2 tablespoons of the oil and 2 tablespoons of Grill Mates Montreal Steak Seasoning. Toss to coat the potatoes evenly.

2. Lightly coat the steaks on both sides with the remaining 2 tablespoons of oil. Season them evenly with the remaining 2 tablespoons of Grill Mates Montreal Steak Seasoning. Let the steaks stand at room temperature for 20 to 30 minutes before grilling.

3. Grill the potatoes in a vegetable basket over Direct Medium heat, with the lid closed as much as possible, until tender and browned, 20 to 25 minutes, turning then every 5 minutes or so to cook them evenly on all sides. Keep the potatoes warm while you grill the steaks.

4. Grill the steaks over Direct High heat, with the lid closed as much as possible, until cooked to desired taste, 6 to 8 minutes for medium-rare, turning once (if flare-ups occur, move the steaks temporarily over Indirect High heat). Let rest for 2 to 3 minutes. Serve warm with the potatoes.
