Creating Beautiful Weddings on a Budget

Making a wedding that is beautiful and affordable can be a challenge. It takes time and effort to incorporate all the special touches to make a unique budget friendly wedding. I will show you ways to save money and make beautiful weddings easy and affordable. But I will give you a heads up...you will need time to plan and execute your ideas. If at all possible make sure you have all the facts before you begin your search for just the right items for your wedding.
A key point is to make as many things for your wedding as possible. I have made pew bows, centerpieces, table decorations, favors, gifts for the bridesmaids and the rest of the wedding party for pennies when it comes to buying them. I currently look for just the perfect item that will enhance what I am making and incorporate it into what I have done. You can personalize just about anything for your wedding with just a computer and some graphics. My daughter did her own personalized wedding programs for her wedding as well as her invitations which saved her a bundle. Personalized tags can be made on your computer. Personalized candle tags can also be made with an address label going through your computer. You can add that special touch of a dove or butterfly or seashell to make it more personal in between the names. This makes for a very beautiful gift as well. Any DIY item will definitely save you money but you must be prepared to take the time to get it all worked up and put into place so it flows smoothly. Also if you are buying more than one item from a vendor be sure to ask for a discount. sometimes they will give you a great deal. I know dresses that go for 160.00 can be found for a mere $25.00 on ebay if you only ask if they will give you a discount on more than one dress.

Well folks, my latest adventure for a May wedding for my step daughter has only cost me 733.94 and the only things we have to worry about now are the minister, and the photographer. Since we had spent a little under 1,000 we splurged and bought wine glasses for everyone. They are eloquent and very nice disposable wine glasses. However, when I got them I only needed enough for 60 guests so I just bought a case of them to use for my next wedding. Everything that was bought was new and I researched my options in order to get good pricing. We are making her invitations as we fell in love with some beautiful DIY velum invitations that came as a kit. They will be a really personal item. Also we get to have fun doing it together. I also have made many other things for her wedding and still have more to make. I cannot tell you what a great relief it is to have a nice beautiful wedding that you yourself helped with to make someone special feel the love on their Wedding Day.

I have been reading different lenses on cheap wedding favors and have not found any that are truly cheap. I think the best gifts are the ones you make yourself. I would advise looking into the DIY projects for the special gifts you want for your wedding. From what I have read the number one wedding favor gift is a small wrapped cheesecake. Chocolates that are homemade are also a good idea. I think this makes a wonderful gift and I really don't know anyone who has been to a wedding that didn't love a special treat like cheesecake.
For this wedding I made brownie cheesecakes in tiny tart pans. They went like hotcakes.
Here is the recipe should you like to try it.

Brownie Cheese Cake

1 package (19.8 oz.) Fudge Brownie Mix
1 package (8 oz.) Cream Cheese softened
1/3 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Prepare brownie mix as directed on package. Pour into greased 13 x 9 inch baking pan. Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar, mix until blended. Add egg and vanilla; mix just until blended. Pour cream cheese mixture over brownie mixture; cut through batter with knife for marble effect. Bake at 350 for 35 to 40 minutes or until cream cheese mixture is lightly browned. Cool; cut into squares. (I made mine in tart pans. You'll have to watch them and when they start to brown they are finished. You can also freeze these and take them out the night before they are used. Makes a wonderful make ahead personal yummy gift.)
For one of my weddings we are doing a small bag of rose petals with an essential oil added to it for fragrance. It is a personal item and and will be one that is made with love.

Well, in the midst of all the preparations for Mary's wedding my middle daughter tells me she is getting married in August. So the saga continues and I have began my search for the ultimate wedding attire as well as the favors and all the rest of the beautiful things needed for a wedding. Her wedding will be black and white and it seems they have down just about everything they wanted. They found a beautiful place for the wedding and as luck would have it the lady needed some work done and she and her husband are not able to do it so Mike (the fiance) is working off part of the bill by making repairs for them.
