Make your body work with you for easy weight loss.

Losing weight can be made easier and faster by simply doing a few things that will help make your body work with you instead of against you. Getting the body's processes to "make the switch" and go from building and maintaining fat to shedding it may be the most important thing to do when trying to lose weight.

Often overlooked

Our bodies are self regulating

Our bodies are self regulating. They have systems in place that make adjustments for optimal performance and protection. Our bodies are constantly interacting with the environment and everything else they are subjected to and respond with what they feel is necessary. Including the decision of how many layers of fat we are going to store. We often overlook these systems when dealing with weight loss efforts, the focus placed mainly on caloric intake, portion control, and exercise. We think of them as having little or no impact when in fact they are what ultimately make the critical decisions even over and above our thought processes. They determine the end result. What we eat or how much we eat are not the only things that affect our weight, there are other contributing factors that our bodies are responding to. We can influence our body's decisions as to whether it will build and maintain fat or discard it. We can use these inner systems to our advantage to help us lose weight quickly and easily.

How to go about it

A few simple things

Below you'll find a few simple things you can do that will help get you started on getting your body's inner systems working with you instead of against you as you're trying to lose weight. If you're working on losing weight but your inner systems are working against it, it can make the job that much more difficult.Progress can be slow and difficult. Almost like strapping a thirty pound boulder onto your back and then trying to walk up a steep hill. Some of these things may not seem to be critical issues but they have a tremendous impact on our bodies and our weight.

External environment

Thermostat/AC

One of the first things you can do to help your body "make the switch" and go from fat building and storing to discarding it, is to adjust your thermostat/ac settings. Most of us are in temperature controlled environments much of the time. Constantly subjecting our bodies to a limited range of temperatures that we've adjusted to. If our environment is too cool our body will be working to build layers of fat as protection. What we think of as appropriate temperatures to be in, or what we have been told should be comfortable temperatures may not be what our body needs. Individual needs vary. Nothing applies all across the board. 65 degree temperatures may be fine for one while another needs to be in 75 degree temperatures for optimal performance. Chances are your body has already built the layers of protection it feels it needs in response to the temperature settings you normally use. So adjust appropriately. Keeping your environment slightly warmer than you're accustomed to will encourage your body to reverse the process of building and storing layers of fat to shedding them. Keep in mind that by no means are you looking to sweat the weight off. What you're aiming for is a consistently warmer environment for your body to function in and interact with so that when it is trying to determine the amount of fat layers needed for protection it will decide on less. Not only will it stop building and maintaining fat, it will also start discarding what it will now considers excess.

Alternate your foods

Simply alternating your foods can prevent them from being stored as fat

Our bodies work on a storage system. When they've absorbed the nutrients they need from a food if it's consumed again within a short period of time and those nutrients are not needed, it doesn't get discarded. It's stored as fat for future use. By simply alternating the foods you eat and not consuming the same food items within a short period of time you can have more control over what gets stored as fat. People tend to get into routines with food. Favorite snacks, stopping in for coffee and breakfast everyday grabbing the same thing because it's convenient. Switch things up. Alternate your favorites more frequently and try new things, add variety.

Vitamins

Take a mutivitain

Make sure to take a multivitamin. When your body signals for food it is really asking for nutrition. Many people wonder why they're hungry shortly after eating a large quantity of food.
It's because the food they ate had little or no nutritional value. If your body is not getting enough nutrients from the foods you eat it will continue to ask for food. Even foods we think have nutritional value are often seriously lacking nutrients. So don't forget to take that vitamin.
Especially if you're not eating the right foods, foods rich in nutrients or are eating a lot of processed foods which have almost no nutritional value at all.
