Weight Loss By Hypnosis - How Does It Help?
Have you ever walked past a mirror (or shop window!) and thought to yourself, "Gee, I could do with losing some weight"? Perhaps you're already on a diet.
If so, you'll no doubt know that dieting is hard work. I mean, sure we start off ever so good. We throw all the "junk" food out of the house, we fill our fridges with as many healthy looking foods as possible and we start, full of enthusiasm.
After about a week or so we begin to think about that chocolate cake we threw out last week as part of our junk food cleanup. Of course once we start thinking about that delicious chocolate cake, we can't stop. (Sorry to all people reading this who are on a diet right now!).
Eventually, we find the cravings so overbearing that we give in, have our cake, and eat it too!
Now, at this point, an interesting thing happens. We either say, "ah well, I've blown it for today, I'll start again tomorrow" and what began as a treat snowballs as you suddenly begin eating everything you've ever craved for for the past week all in one day!

We say, "It's just too difficult. I give up". I don't know about you, but I've been there plenty of times.

So Where Does Hypnotherapy Fit Into The Equation?
So where does hypnotherapy fit into the equation you may be asking?At it's most basic, hypnotherapy is a clever way of suggesting things to your subconcious. Now what's interesting is that when people are in a hypnotic state, their brain tends to accept what it is told.
What this means for us is that with a good hypnotherapist (or self hypnosis CD), we can tell our brain that we are not going to crave for chocolate cakes, that in fact we aren't even going to think about them while we are on a diet.
Instead of our brain working against us (sending us signals that we crave something), we can encourage it by hypnosis to work with us, to give us that extra bit of willpower we need to succeed. To ultimately lose whatever amount of weight we need to lose.
Food Free For All
Does this mean we can just be hypnotised, eat everything we like and still expect to lose weight?NO!
Think of hypnosis as a friend. Someone who is there to support you in whatever you want to do 24/7. The friend in this case is your subconcious, and folks, if you can get that on your side, you'll find dieting a whole lot easier!

A couple of books I highly recommend on self hypnosis, and in particular losing weight by hypnosis. Don't take my word for it though, all these books have great ratings on Amazon with some excellent reviews.

- Nice lens. I believe it certainly does work. Lots of people want to lose weight, bit not everything works for everyone. If you can't control your subconcious without help, and that's the only real way to diet, then hypno help is a great idea.
