What is TipDrop?
TipDrop is a place where people come to give and receive tips on just about anything. When you see a tip sheet you know something about, simply answer the question: Sounds easy enough right?
You have up to 255 characters to post your tips, which is more than twitter.

Why Use TipDrop?
Because unlike other microblogging platforms, TipDrop creates focused sets of useful information on specific concepts. No wasting time reading what somebody had for breakfast here. (We also give you the option of keeping 75% of all ad-revenues generated from the tip sheets you create.)
Use Your Credibility
TipDrop has a built-in credibility engine that helps keep the best tips on top and the junk out of the system. You build credibility by adding tips that other people like and vote for. You can add up to 10 links in your profile.

How To Succeed With TipDrop
#1 DO WRITE TOP QUALITY TIPS
Writing great tips will build your credibility and result in people following your tips and visiting the web sites linked to in the sidebar of your profile pages.
#2 DON'T SPAM
Writing spam tips that link out to spam web sites will only get your tips voted down and your user credibility shot so that your tips never show up on the home page or the category lists.
#3 DON'T SELF-PROMOTE IN TIPS
So you're the world's greatest XYZ? That's great, but don't tell people that in a tip. Let them see that through the quality of your tips.
#4 DON'T ONLY ADD TIPS TO YOUR OWN TIP SHEETS
Add tips to other users' tip sheets as well. You'll get more positive votes if users know you're contributing to the community.
