What Should I Write About?

I am having a serious round of writer's block. I'm tired of writing about products, services, etc... I want to head in a different direction. Lots of things are going through my head. I need help deciding, and I'm going to ask for your assistance. Basically, what I have in mind for this lens is a list of topics I thought of with a brief description and then a voting module. Reading this might even spark ideas for other writers that might be struggling with the same thing.

I Could Write About My Daughter

Well, actually, there are two choices with this one. I could just write all about her and the things I love about her, or I do have a story I could just basically copy and paste that was written for a Chicken Soup concept they never published - thus the story wasn't used but I KNOW it was good enough ;).

I Could Write About My Fat Cat

Truthfully, it's not my cat, but my father's cat - I inherited him. This is a big ole fat cat that sits around loafing all day while thinking of tasks to assign me. He lies flat on his back, and I know he's thinking of ways to get rid of me. My only comfort is knowing that he knows he has me wrapped around his little paw and would have to train a whole new "owner" if forced to replace me. (I know he's thought that out!)

I Could Write About My Bills

Good night in the morning! Who would want to read about that? Although, what if I wrote about how stupid the bill people are. Or about which ones are meanest/nicest when I'm late. (Who me? Late? ~NEVER~)

I Could Write About Nothing

Yes, Seinfeld fans, there's something to writing about nothing. Actually, I tried writing this one. Nothing kept turning into something. Come to think of it though, on Seinfeld nothing became something on there as well. Anyway, I could write about nothing.

I Could Write About the Recently Deceased

Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, Michael Jackson, Billy Mays, or my Mother (1940-2009). I could write 100 lenses on each. Each one deserves entire lens catalouges. Some obviously might be more emotional for me than others.

I Could Write About My Favorite TV Shows

Who would want to read my writing about Seinfeld, MASH, Frasier, Magnum PI, MASH, Monk, Burn Notice, MASH, Cheers, The Big Bang Theory, MASH, Two and a Half Men, or MASH? Someone might want to read that article - right?

I Could Write About My Favorite Movies

I could write about Caddyshack, Wall Street or the Big Chill. Or maybe my favorite westerns. Shane, The Shootist, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence etc... A top ten perhaps. They're all going to have Clint Eastwood or John Wayne in them anyway.

I Could Write About My Favorite Actors

Maybe I could write about Clint Eastwood, John Wayne, or Jimmy Stewart. Maybe "comedic actor" - can you say Robin Williams? Perhaps add a twist and write about my favorite dead actor or favorite young actor.

I Could Write About Sharon McNeil

Sharon McNeil is a model in the Suave commercials. If anybody knows her, please ask her to call me. Never mind - give me the number and I'll call. Never mind - it would be easier just to fly wherever she is. I wonder where she is - what she's doing. Is stalking legal? I'll take the chance. Ooops - I went a little off base there. Anyway, a lens about Sharon McNeil would be fun.
