Have you heard people talking about spirituality and you asked yourself what in the world are they talking about. I asked a few people what they thought spirituality was, listed below are there response:
1. Spirituality is a search for God.
2. Spirituality is looking for the meaning of life.
3. I have no idea what spirituality is and I am just trying to make it through this life.
4. Spirituality is infinite and unlimited.
5. Is spirituality attainable?
6. Why do we want to be spiritual?
7. Can spirituality be defined?
8. Is spirituality a belief in religion?
In "Wondrous Wisdom" author Michael Kellog states that "Nearly everyone has an opinion about what spirituality is, but almost no one has any connection with the spiritual world or any idea how it works. People have argued that the spiritual can be understood through arts such as music, or through science, religion, even physchology. But spirituality can really only be understood when experienced. This means that a person must somehow be able to enter the 'place of the spiritual,' research it, and determine what its properties are. In other words, they must undertake a process of discovery. The tool for this process is called 'Kabbalah.'" For more information, please visit kabbalahbooks.info
"We all begin our lives perceiving and living in this corporeal world, until one day we discover a unique desire for something new and different, mostly called "spirituality." We try to imagine what is going on there-in the spiritual world-and attempt to picture how different life would be if we felt spirituality." The article, "Living the Spiritual Dream World" in the April's Issue, of Kabbalah Today,
is superb in helping one to understand why some times we feel so miserable and so unsatisfied with life and we do not know just what it is that we are searching for. The article, located on page 7, by Mike Kellogg advises us to "stop hitting the snooze" when it comes to our desire for awakening.
Many times we confuse spirituality with corporeality. What's the difference between them - keep reading...

Spiritual Matters
"The Secret Life of Water" by Dr. Masaru Emoto, Japanese Scientist - Experimentation with Water Crystals
"The turn of the century seemed to be a time of particular uncertainity and instability. One of the outcomes was a greater interest in spiritual matters."
"Many people today are coming together to form communities beyond the typical definition of neighborhood and village. In Europe, the United States, Australia, and other part of the world, communities are forming with the aim of living peacefully with the environment."

Searching For The Purpose Of Life
The road can be long and tedious
There are many books on spirituality and each author decribes their search and the avenue they took to arrive at a place where they feel comfortable. Some people have searched for ten, twenty or more years and have not found their purpose. Well, all is not lost because we have an eternity to find that gem, if we are willing to continue our search.
"Spirituality For Dummies" by Sharon Janis - is an outstanding book for anyone searching for spirituality.

Spirit and Body by Rav Michael Laitman
An introduction to the real world
"Since the beginning of time man has been searching for answers to the fundamental questions of being: who am I, what is the purpose of my existence and the existence of the world, what happens after we die, etc? The questions about the purpose, the meaning of life heightens daily human ordeal and suffering, bringing it to a global level - why do we have to suffer at all?"
"Kabbalah as a science offers a method of investigating the world. This method allows a persons to develop the ability to sense the hidden part of the universe. The word 'Kabbalah' means 'reception' and expresses a human aspiration to receive the highest knowledge, to sense the true picture of the world."

"New Cultures and Beliefs"
Recognizing various religions in the world
To further explore the difference between religion and spirituality, pick up "Religions of the World," (check local library shelves). This captivating book was written by various authors in 1997 and highlights the top religions and how they branched off to form the various religions we have in the world today.
"Because of the diversity of these faiths they cannot all be described under the same heading-each has its own story, its own rituals and beliefs, its own idea of spirituality." (Religions of the World)
With as many cultures in the world, we must practice tolerance and allow others to grow in their own way.
