Who is Whit U Forever?
Who Am I? Get this... I am a Christian Republican Jew, born on Christmas Eve! To the left, I am a genuine inconvenient truth. I am a rascal; an expert at stirring the pot of emotions regarding controversial issues. But to truly know me is to read my lenses. Many of them are challenging, some controversial, and some just plain fun. Sorted by category below, there is not one lens without an important purpose, a great deal of research, and a healthy dose of introspection. So, if you decide that what you read is worthy of passing on to your friends, I extend my gratitude in advance... thank you!
P.S. I have a confession to make:
I am biased... on purpose. Yes, it's terrible... I discriminate. But not between races, sexes, social classes, etc. I discriminate between right and wrong; holy and perverted; good and evil; just and unjust. Turning a blind eye to the differences between these things (in the name of equality) never fails to place one on the backward side of every issue.
P.S.S. I send out a daily proverb to my fans on Squidoo, Twitter, and Facebook. So, if you're interested in receiving a daily dose of wisdom, or simply being friends, you can connect with me from my home page.
Enjoy!

Happiness Is a Serious Problem: A Human Nature Repair Manual
Amazon Price: $10.19 (as of 12/05/2009)![]()
In this unique blend of self-help and moral philosophy, talk-radio host Dennis Prager asserts that we're actually obligated to be happy, because it makes us better people. Achieving that happiness won't be easy, though: to Prager, it requires a continuing process of counting your blessings and giving up any expectations that life is supposed to be wonderful. "Can we decide to be satisfied with what we have?" he asks. "A poor man who can make himself satisfied with his portion will be happier than a wealthy man who does not allow himself to be satisfied." Prager echoes many conservative political commentators in complaining that too many people today see themselves as victims; he submits that the only way to achieve your desires is to take responsibility for your life rather than blaming others. Whether or not you agree with that view, if you're willing to put some thought into achieving a happier outlook, you will find plenty to mull over in Happiness Is a Serious Problem.

Myths, Lies and Downright Stupidity: Get Out the Shovel - Why Everything You Know is Wrong
Amazon Price: $14.95 (as of 12/05/2009)![]()
Investigative reporter for ABC's 20/20, Stossel is well known for his impatient "Give Me a Break" reports uncovering wrongdoing. With a writing style that is similar to his television personality--lots of questions and exclamatory statements--Stossel debunks several popular misconceptions from media bias to world overpopulation. In separate chapters, he turns an investigative eye toward the media, business, government, education, the sexes, consumers, law, experts on everything, religion, health, parenting, and the pursuit of happiness. In the business section, he takes a generally pro-business position, attacking myths regarding the notion that big business is anti-consumer and exploits workers. He counterbalances by examining the myth that American business believes in free markets. The Truth: most businesspeople don't care about free markets, and will stifle competition if it serves their interest. Regarding government, Stossel attempts to strike a similar balance, attacking the myths that Republicans shrink government and that government helps the needy. Stossel tackles more mundane subjects in the health section, exploding myths that being cold gives you a cold and chocolate is bad for you. Each debunking is backed up with research and interviews. He concludes with a chapter that acknowledges readers' natural curiosity about where he stands politically with a myth-buster about himself: Myth: John Stossel is a conservative. Truth: he's a classical liberal. For fans of Stossel and readers who appreciate pokes at conventional wisdom.

The Hand of God: A Journey from Death to Life by the Abortion Doctor Who Changed His Mind
Amazon Price: $13.22 (as of 12/05/2009)![]()
Here is a man who was responsible for the legalization of abortion in the United States, coming to terms with the dreadful consequences of his actions, publicly sharing an obviously painful part of his life, and seeking forgiveness.
This is a beautiful testimony, even if it is difficult to read at times. Nathanson leads us through his life in a Jewish home and the events which led to his work as an abortionist and with NARAL.
His vocabulary can be a bit challenging at times, but it is very much worth the effort.
Especially chilling are Nathanson's predictions for the future. He predicts that just as we now have abortuaries one day we will have "death with dignity centers" - legalized places where we can bring our elderly to have them put to death.
The book brings the reader right up to his potential conversion to Catholicism. Not long after the book was published, Dr. Nathanson entered the Catholic Church.

Tell Me What You Know
Amazon Price: $10.99 (as of 12/05/2009)![]()
Sara's "Tell Me What You Know" is one of the best albums I've ever heard, in ANY genre. There's an honesty and clarity that shines thru every song, from the melodies and lyrics to the production, arrangements and mix. Put on your phones and pay attention to this one, it's absolutely worth every minute. I'd say my favorite tracks are "Abstraction" and "When The Saints," but they're all great in their own way.

- It really helped me to read the article featured on The Tolerance Trap and 12 Christian Beliefs That Can Drive You Crazy, by Cloud/Townsend. I agree that we should respect everyone regardless of their personal beliefs. But too often the scriptures that say we are not to judge are taken out of context. See Criticism: don't judge, lest you be judged. We should judge rightly. The problem with telling each other not to judge is that the moment you do, you are judging someone else. It sounds noble when you preach to others that they shouldn't pass judgment, but when you really think about it, telling others not to judge is just another means by which some dismiss what others have to say; it's all too often used as an excuse to stop listening and disregard another's experience or expertise saying that there is a right way and a wrong way.
