Why Pilates Exercise?

Our bodies were designed to move. So, in order to be healthy we must engage in activity or exercise.

As a regular person I am interested in how I can have optimal health.

We will discuss Why PIlates for regular people, Why Pilates for Baby Boomers and seniors, Why Pilates-the Many Benefits, Why PIlates for children, Why Pilates mat work, Why Pilates Reformer, Why Romana Pilates, and last but not least Why Pilates and Chocolate.

My background is: I grew up with a role model, Jack Lalanne. He's always been a good one. He demonstrated how exercise could transform us. But, his entire life showed more than that. It showed us that if we adopt a wellness lifestyle, we would be ahead of the game, by living a life of health and vitality. He certainly has.

Dr. James Chestnut, Chiropractic's Educator of the Year" in 2007 by the International Chiropractors Association speaks about exercise as a required nutrient for the genetic expression of health and homeostasis." He continued to say that it is impossible to be totally well without proper exercise. So, exercise helps to express our health and wellness.

There are many types of exercise to choose from, but in this article we are weighing one that is considered the ultimate exercise especially by dancers, acrobats and many famous and not so famous actors.

If you have Blood Sugar issues go here. Regular exercise is so helpful with blood sugar problems, but this is an additional help.

Why Pilates Exercise For A Regular Ordinary Person?

You can do Pilates at any age

I am a regular, ordinary person who loves life and wants to be the best I can be at whatever my age. I know that if you are sick your focus is on getting well. But, if you are well and vital you can choose anything in the world you want-and work towards it. You can have fun and enjoy your life.

So, I love exercise and see the value of it. In days gone by, I have been certified in many fitness programs like AFAA, Water Aerobics, Rthymic Aerobics, AFAA's Senior Fitness and Reboundology, etc. I have not been certified in Pilates, but, wish I had taken the time to as it is a phenomenal program.

One of the benefits I see in Pilates is that I can continue doing it even though I am now in my 60's, whereas some of the other forms of exercise, such as high level aerobics, hard running, etc. are not too good for older joints.

So, if you enjoy Denise Austin, and wast to learn Pilater, this would be a good start for you.

Most reviews were positive. One did not receive the product, so was very unhappy.

From the comments I feel that this DVD would be for a beginner to intermediate. The advanced Pilates student should probably get an advanced D V D.

Be the best you can be at any age. PIlates gives a wonderful full-body workout for Baby Boomers and Seniors without all the wear and tear on the body. This is the best combination of exercise.

So, Pilates is a very helpful tool for Baby Boomers and seniors. The reason is it improves general fitness, mobility and confidence. It is also known to slow down aging, which is music to our ears when we are getting older.

At the time he invented Pilates he was a nurse, and he used his Pilates exercise to rehab soldiers back to health.
