Why Your Attitude is Everything

Attitude is Everything - it determines the tone of your day - and will set your feet on the path of whatever you desire when combined with powerful beliefs.

Your beliefs empower your attitude -- and your attitude becomes like the rudder of your ship. When aligned with the winds in your sail -- you can go anywhere that you desire.

There's an old poem that applies perfectly to this scenario, written by Ella Wheeler Wilcox

"The Winds of Fate"

One ship drives east and another drives west
With the selfsame winds that blow.
'Tis the set of the sails,
And Not the gales,
That tell us the way to go.

Like the winds of the sea are the ways of fate;
As we voyage along through life,
'Tis the set of a soul
That decides its goal,
And not the calm or the strife.

Attitude Is Everything - Glass Half Full or Empty

It All Starts With Your Beliefs

I don't care how many times you try to change your attitude. I don't care how many positive affirmations you want to rant, unless your beliefs are empowering, you will never develop the can-do attitude.

You consciously may want to have the attitude that the glass is half-full, but as long as you maintain a sub-conscious belief you can never win -- the glass will be half empty.

Your beliefs were handed down to you before you turned eight. Our caretakers and other family members, teachers, church leaders and peers peppered us with their beliefs which got programmed into our sub-conscious unknowingly by us.

As we age, these beliefs operate under the surface of our consciousness and will torpedo any affirmation or attitude that you may have that is not aligned with your sub-conscious belief. To have a winning attitude, you must have a winning belief.

Here are some signs of a negative attitude and/or underlying negative beliefs:

*I never win
*I'm not good enough
*The rich get richer -- and I get poorer
*It's all their fault
*If so and so didn't rip me a new one I'd be in a better position
*They promoted Joe and he's not half as good as me
*Life's not fair
*Why do men get better salaries than women
*I'm just not lucky
