After the successful guitar hero series that produces 6 games until now and 3 more that are planned until the end of 2009, Activision is about to release a new game with a new concept.
This new game wii dj hero is using a new control that simulate a dj's mix turntable.
This is some great news for the non rock & metal fans since until now the guitar hero games were exclusively aimed for.
The new game is going to feature music from rap, hip hop, R&B and other dance style music. There is also an exclusive track announced that will be featuring Eminem and Jay-Z !
One another exciting feature is that the guitar control from guitar hero could be integrated in the game and in future games. This will allow again playing different types of music like rap metal or rap rock, music that integrates scratching and dj free style with electric guitar reefs.

Here is how the new wii dj hero control looks like.
It is composed of two parties.
The right part is the turntable with 3 buttons and a spin like device. There is a button for Disk A, One for Disk B and the middle one is a sampling button.
The left part holds the fader that switch between Disk A & Disk B. It has an euphoria button that is the equivalent to the star power in guitar hero and another button that give some kind of a free hand like the whammy bar.
