Wind power has little environmental impact, produces no harmful side effects such as coal or nuclear power sources and has a limitless supply of resources. As long as there is wind, there can be things powered by it.

Wind power is cost effective ranging from only about 3-10 cents per kWh. That price does not go up, because wind is free. It can only go down as we develop better and ways to harness the power of the wind in more efficient ways. It is environmentally friendly having little to no impact on the environment. Wind power does not produce harmful gasses that pollute our air. In fact, wind power produces not pollutants to speak of.

Utilizing the power of the wind to produce energy creates jobs. With unemployment rates at an all time high, this could be the best side effect of using wind power to date. The wind energy technology provides more employment opportunities per every dollar invested in it than any other traditional or alternative energy solutions. It is estimated that for every megawatt of wind energy capacity roughly 15-19 jobs are created. That's a lot of employment opportunities for a lot of people, while at the same time working to solve our energy crisis and create a more environmentally friendly world. As new technologies emerge in the wind power industry, I would expect that number to only rise.
