My last two no three electricty bills from Progress Energy were well over $300.00, I can think of much better things to do with that money. No the trick is getting my husband to build me a windmill so we can get started. We have been looking at 2 different website systems and have almost decided to make the leap.
Our first choice is Earth 4 Energy - Renewable Energy Solutions
Our second Choice is Home Made Energy
Of course I would rather try the windmill as wind power has been being used dating back before the Vikings. No will still use the wind for sailing, wind surfing, wind gliding and so on. Of course these are all recreational. So why not put this power to really good use and keep our money back in our pockets.
Think about this... if you could generate enough wing power to run your washer and dryer how much money would you save. For me it would be alot I have 8 people in my house.
Or what about this generating enough wind power to run your centeral heat and air system. Can you say Cha Ching.
During my research I came across this explanition:
"About one to three per cent of solar energy reaching the Earth is converted into wind energy. That may not sound like a lot but given the enormous amounts of energy coming from the sun it is.
Wind energy is still 50 to 100 times greater than the solar energy converted by all the Earth's vegetation into biomass through photosynthesis.
The sun's energy in interaction with the Earth's surfaces creates the winds and as long as the sun is up there, wind is a renewable energy source."
So I ask this question why aren't we all going green and putting wind or solar energy to use. Not only do we help the planet, but we help ourselves with a monetary gain.
Choice #1: Earth 4 Energy - Renewable Energy Solutions
Choice #2 : Home Made Energy

A quick introduction
Go green is the right thing to do for today, tomorrow, and many many years from now. I think we should all do our part.

Alternate Energy 6, solar homesteading, survivalist peak oil
Part 6 in our series showing some Alternate energy systems. This 2 part set shows a VERY INEXPENSIVE (as far as AE goes) alternate energy setup that's used at a hunting camp. If you already have a generator you have a power source and can build a small system like this cheaply and effectively. This becomes a great STARTING POINT for a larger off grid alternate energy system that can be done a little at a time as finances permit. www.survivalreport.net tags- solar, wind, micro hydro, pickens plan, alternate energy, off grid, homesteading, survival, self- reliance, self- sufficiency, preparedness, survivalist, alex jones, 911, prepare for terrorism, war, hurricane hurricanes energy shortage, fuel shortage, peak oil, economic collapse, crash, dow, market, aig, bear stearns, ron paul, anything else that will bring in people :)

- Your lens is great! I am into < a href="http://sarasotageothermal.com/"> geothermal energy myself, but I realize that there is a lot of good to come from wind energy improvements, too. Thanks for the info :)

- Everyone needs to cop onto themselves and start doing something about their own environment. The more we push this kind of technology the better we will be...from every angle. We save ourselves a bucket load of money and do something for our children's future...It comes down to that...our children are going to suffer if we don't start getting real...Go for it dude
