There are plenty of places to shop in Winnipeg. There is something for everybody, and for every budget. The cost of living is less here than some of the other big cities in Canada. Housing costs are not wildly unreasonable, like other big cities in both Canada and The United States. It is a reasonably easy trip to areas outside of the city of Winnipeg. Going to the provinces on either side of Manitoba is not a bad trip either. It is a little more difficult in winter.
