Art Fire is a great place for artisans to showcase and sell handmade jewelry!

I have had my Art Fire studio open since February 2009. In the short time I have had my artisan handmade wire wrapped jewelry there I have been very impressed with the amount of traffic I have received compaired to other sites I use!

Listing products to sell on Art Fire is such a breeze! Up to 10 photos can be added so every detail can be shown to prospective buyers. A helpful service that was very important to me is that they automatically send listings to google base. I have my jewelry items show up on google search the following day!

Sound off about Wire Wrapped Jewelry!

I'm starting this debate about Wire Wrapped Jewelry because I have encountered several people that don't think that wire jewelry is real jewelry. Usually these people have either bought something that was not made properly to last, have had a friend tell them of a bad experience, or have never even bothered to try wire jewelry because they assumed that it was just cheap jewelry by appearance. Unfortunatly there are also many juried galleries and juried art shows that won't even consider accepting a wire artisan's jewelry collection in their venue.

I personally think that depending on the craftmanship and materials used in the piece, that wire jewelry is just as structurally sound and can be just as valuable as any other method of making jewelry.

What is your opinion on wire wrapped jewelry?

I think wire wrapped jewelry is an affordable way to have a unique handmade durable piece of jewelry.

If it is made from sterling, gold filled, or gold wire and made well, I think it is definitely quality jewelry. It's hard to come up with flattering, attractive wraps that complement a piece
