Wisconsin Is A Beautiful Place

Wisconsin is a very beautiful place, and I am not just saying that because I grew up there. It is one of the greenest places I have ever seen. As my husband puts it: If you plant it, it will grow.

I was born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin and only left to follow my heart's desire... my husband. Still, we both have family there and return as often as life lets us.

How to Find Ways to Prevent Domestic Violence and Abuse

How to Find Ways to Prevent Domestic Violence and Abuse
Domestic violence and abuse is a prevalent problem in our communities, as well as globally. It has existed since the beginning of civilization because the problem is not just nurture, but also nature. Aggression and violence is part of the innate makeup of the human race and it is a choice we all have whether we want to manifest it in our behavior or suppress and control it. The definition of domestic abuse is when one person in a relationship or marriage (spousal abuse) tries to control and dominate the other person by using intimidation, guilt, shame, fear or physical control. Domestic violence is defined to include physical violence as well as domestic abuse.

Wisconsin, My Home State

There are so many things to do in Wisconsin that I don't know if I will be able to do them justice, but I will try.

Having grown up there, I have been blessed with the beauty of the area, and the desire to return whenever I can.

Wisconsin is hot and humid in the summer and cold and snowy in the winter. It is a perfect place to enjoy water sports and winter sports too. Cross country skiing is an area favorite, as well as downhill skiing, although, skiing is probably better where there are mountains to slide down.

Some popular activities include:
camping
fishing
hunting
hiking
rock climbing
water parks
boating
water skiing
skating
(ice and roller)

Escape to Wisconsin

When I was a kid, just about every bumper I saw had the Escape to Wisconsin bumper sticker on it. Folks from Illinois even put them on their cars.

My sister and her husband fell in love walking the state parks in Wisconsin. They live in the Lake Superior area where summers are generally a bit cooler and less humid than what you describe in the Madison area. Wisconsin is a very beautiful state.
