A review of World of Warcraft Leveling Guides by a longtime player.

Hi, I'm William Kamar, and this is my World of Warcraft Leveling Guide Review. I'll be talking about some of the top guides as a long time WoW player. I'll tell you the truth about which guides will help tell you how to level fast in WoW, and which ones are a complete flop.

Joana's Horde Leveling Guide

7/10

Joana's Horde Leveling Guide is one of the best known guides on the internet for World of Warcraft leveling.

It covers 1-80 for the Horde, with detailed videos, coordinates, and maps for each and every zone you'll be leveling in.

My biggest gripe is that some classes will find soloing certain quests difficult, considering the guide was written from the viewpoint of a hunter.

Pros
+Covers all starting zones
+Videos
+Map Mod

Cons
-Difficult in several areas for many classes
-Horde guide only
-Not as fast as some newer guides

Zygor Leveling Guide

10/10

Zygor Leveling Guides is a new entry to the leveling guide market, and I have to say it is worth giving a recommendation. It has the same level of professionalism and quality that my old favorite iDemise does, and a few additions that might make it worth buying if you don't already have the iDemise guides.

My top recommendation for anyone buying a guide.

Pros
+Fast
+Addon is even better than iDemise's
+Decently priced

Cons
-Faction guides are separate

Brian Kopp's Alliance Leveling Guide

8/10

If you roll Alliance, Brian Kopp's Alliance Leveling Guide is the guide for you.

Pretty much everything I said regarding Joana's guide holds true here, although Brian's guide lacks videos. Clear maps and coordinates make following the guide simple enough that you don't feel the loss.

A plus for Brian's guide is that its got a better start, and it never felt difficult to do the quests he recommends. My old personal favorite World of Warcraft leveling guide. If you need to find out how to level fast in WoW, and want to play Alliance...this is still worth getting.

Pros
+Covers all starting zones
+Covers Dranei Shaman Quests
+Easy to follow with any class
+Map Mod

Cons
-Alliance Only
-Not quite as fast as some other guides

Team iDemise Leveling Guides

9/10

Team iDemise Leveling Guides came out a decent while after the first entries to the market had gained popularity, but they certainly made up for time lost with their incredibly well-made and professional leveling guides.

They didn't come up with anything new (solo questing in a certain order is always best), but the sheer amount of work put into these guides and their related tools make them shine.

The mods provided alongside the guide are just awesome. No more alt-tabbing back and forth to check your guide...now you have everything you need right inside the game.

Seriously, if you want best, these days it's either this or Zygor.

Pros
+Guides for either side
+Fast
+The addon is freaking awesome
+All zones covered
+Cheaper, per side, than other guides
+My personal favorite :D

Cons
-Have to get guides separately
