It Would Be Awesome If I Had Wolverine's Adamantium Claws

I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to see this movie in the theaters. A family member called me and asked me if I wanted to go. So we made the time to go.

I was excited about the movie. It was hyped for weeks. I was almost afraid that the movie had been worked up so strongly, I might just be miserably let down by a bad story or horrible acting. Luckily the movie was fantastic. There were some nitpicky things that I could have pulled out of the movie, but because the movie was so fun to watch, I am willing to let those things go.

What I really enjoyed about the movie was the pacing. It started off with a great introduction to where Wolverine came from and where his rage began. It moved through the story with every new confrontation growing in strength and importance, 'til the final battle and a great story twist at the end. OK, it really wasn't a twist we all knew it was going to happen.

There were a couple of characters I thought were not strong enough for their roles. Deadpool was strong, but not as strong as I thought he should have been. They didn't go into his story deep enough. And Gambit was there to please the fans. The story could have moved along fine without him.

The movie was great. I would definitely pay to see it again. I will get the DVD when it comes out. I think if you are a comic book fan, you should definitely go see it. Just go in knowing it is going to be a different beast than the comics. Then you will be able to enjoy it.
