The Most Amazing Gift Hamper!
In these times of economic difficulty and uncertainty, it is hard to imagine spending large sums of money on extravagant luxury items that might not even be appreciated. So, what would I most definitely appreciate? Food!
This is no joke. When times are tough the essential things become, well, essential. The holidays are a time of celebration, and that means eating, and more eating! Perhaps it seems that a gift of food is unnecessary. But perhaps not. Wouldn't it be just wonderful to open a great hamper of delicious gourmet food, which of course has plenty of "normal" items too, and be able to share it with family and friends over the holidays? This "Wonder of the World Hamper" is exactly that gift.

About Ruma's Fruit & Gift Basket World

The company that makes this amazing gourmet hamper has it's own great history. Begun in 1900 by Giacomo Ruma, an immigrant from Sicily, it originated as a pushcart selling fruits and vegetables in Haymarket Square in Boston.

The great work ethic of the first Ruma fruit and vegetable vendor led to a loyal customer base. Selling some of the best fruit and produce in the area and dedicated to keeping prices fair, Ruma's soon had wholesale customers including restaurants, hotels, and other institutions.

Branching out into Fruit Baskets
The fruit and gift basket idea was born in 1986 when a buyer requested fruit baskets to send to his customers as holiday gifts. These baskets were so well received that Ruma's decided to add gift baskets to their repertoire. In the late 1990s, the company fully concentrated on its fruit and gift baskets, selling the wholesale produce side of the business.
Branching Further
Into Wine!

Wine is not my thing, but Ruma's offer a fine selection of gifts that have wine, for those who would enjoy it. Very nice looking!
And Chocolate!

With the success of the fruit baskets, it was not long before Ruma's branched further into more exotic items. Imported items like tea, caviar, and chocolate soon began to fill their gift baskets.
Oh yes, chocaholic here would love this one!

With their European background, it is natural that many of the gourmet items included in their special hampers are of European origin: Chocolate, tea, cheese, caviar, smoked salmon, and shortbread are some of the imported items that grace their amazing gift baskets.
