The Wonder Years Recap

The Wonder Years is one of those shows of magic and beauty. Focusing on the youth of Kevin Arnold, his friends and his family, they show his development and growth from childhood into adulthood. The stories are simple, the characters are funny and sweet, the themes are rife with meaning and emotion sweeping the Vietnam era. It's a timeless piece of Americana, one that even the most cynical of human beings can empathize with.

However, what really sets it apart are the amazing soundtracks that accompany each episode. Filled with classic tunes from the 60s and 70s, the music lifts the show to another level, providing it with the context and power that resonates with us to this day.

Unfortunately, the same thing that made these television shows so great kept the show from being sold on DVD. Since the show was made before the age of copyright, most of the music didn't cost anything to place in the show. Now the Wonder Years has to pay for all the music rights fees to distribute it evenly. And the music rights are often so expensive that it's almost impossible to syndicate on television or sell on DVD at a price its fans can buy it at.

However, even if you can't enjoy the show as often as you'd like, you can enjoy the music that accompanies each season. This Lens will provide a list of all the music that you can enjoy and relive all the adventures of Kevin Arnold, his family and his friends.
