Woodturners from around the globe

There are too many woodturners in the world to list them all here.
My aim is to showcase the diversity of materials and styles used by woodturners today. I will be selecting sites based on the uniqueness of the work and the quality of the presentation. Nice woodturning deserves nice websites.

Woodturners in Australia

Jean Dominique Denis
Makes mainly bowls and lamps, with lots of surface decoration such as carving, coloring and assemblage.

Woodturners in Germany

Ludwig Mundlein
"When shaping my objects, I draw inspiration from the wood itself, its texture and the variety of shapes in early civilizations. Thus, vessels with rugged shapes and natural-edge bowls are created, and objects in relation to archaic Greek and Cetic forms."
Siegfried Schreiber
Siegfried takes a unique approach to bowl forms. They are most definitely not designed to sit inertly on a table and hold things, and it is no surprise that his website is divided in to sections for Kinetic Objects, Sensual Sculptures and Meditation Objects. Some beautiful ideas are shown there, and like his work, the website is wonderfully minimalist
