Woody Maxim's Maximum Overdrive Newsletter

Here is my frank review of the first edition of Woody Maxim's Maximum Overdrive. The first month cost is just $15 but after that the price will increase to $50. Let me start by saying the first edition is short with a capital sh; being 7 pages in length. So is this a good thing or a bad thing?

A railroad expert is summoned because a brand-new diesel locomotive will not start, no matter what the engineer did. After a short time studying the situation, the expert gave the locomotive a light tap with a hammer. It started right up. When the railroad received the expert's bill for $1,000, they fumed and said "This is ridiculous - $1000. He was only here for 15 minutes". The reply came back from the consultant

If you feel that the more information the better value for money you receive then this newsletter may not be for you but if you prefer to have an exact blueprint in which to make money that has made money for other people then you should certainly consider it. In just one day over $14,000 was made from members of the Maximum Overdrive newsletter. This was figured out by Woody based on his referral commissions from those who signed up from his link in the newsletter.

This raises an important point. Many people get information and they don't act on it or they act on it to a certain degree but fail to follow through till they get successful. There are four stages of learning which are subconscious incompetence, conscious incompetence, conscious competence and subconscious competence. The goal is to move to a level of subconscious competence. This is similar to when you can drive your car without having to think about changing gears, looking in the mirror, pressing the clutch - it is automatic. The way to get there is by learning and improving and by making mistakes.

If you are not an action taker or you sit on information then I would not advise the Maximum Overdrive newsletter for you because you will get no to little benefit from it. There is a reason why there is a term called "first movers advantage".

CPA = Can't Paint Awkwardly - no, no - Can Parrots Act? .. I've got it! - Cost Per Action.

If you click on one of the little links with Ads by Google at the top or bottom of this page then you are performing a CPA Action. This is because these are Adsense ads - when you click on one of those ads I make money, Google makes money and it costs the vendor money (with a view to them making money when you buy..). Now I'm not trying to subconsciously tell you to CLICK THE ADSENSE ADS because that is against terms of use so please DOn't CLICK ON ANY OF THOSE FASCINATING ADS FOR RELEVANT CONTENT.

Back issues are not available so the main idea behind them is to give you an idea of the type of thing covered and to rub in your face that you missed out on a killer tactic making me tons of money and you can't get in on it now (Joking) but in all seriousness I have had people begging me to send them back issues.

The newsletter for this month mainly focused on two specific types of Cost per Action which are Zip Submit and Email Submit - basically you submit your email or zip and then jump through a number of hoops to gain access to a bonus or special offer typically e.g. you and 6 friends go to a premier of Pirates of the Caribbean. As part of my research for my Kick Butt autoresponder series I actually went through one of these offers and after about half an hour started to lose the will to live.

I'd say there are good offers and bad offers. Woody has done very well with CPA offers and the newsletter offered two blueprints with step by step guidelines - one for those who are prepared to splash the cash and another for people who want to dip their toes in the water.

A combination of not being accepted for two of the CPA Networks and it not really fitting in with my current objectives meant that I chose not to pursue CPA offers at this time.

The newsletter was edited well (give that editor a pay rise) with examples and I am sure the first blueprint would be out of range of many of the subscribers but for the big hitters would give a good proven formula for consistently making money.

As to effectiveness with making money I can't really comment much at this time.
