Here is what I think
I came across these in my web searching one day and fell in love with them and had to spotlight them. Wow what a clever concept for kids learning words. I wish these were around when mine were learning words. I love all things visual and this show is great, as well as, the toys and games to go with it. I really think these toys make great gifts for the young pre-school age children and will even make great items for a baby shower gift.I also think these toys would make a great decor for a babies nursery - they will be spelling in no time at all growing up associating the words to the object.
What is WordWorld you ask?
WordWorld is a children's educational television show that is shown on PBS. WordWorld revolves around WordFriends and WordThings, characters and items made of the letters that spell them, in the correct order. So, for example, a barn is made out of the letters B-A-R-N, and a pie out of P-I-E, shaped so that they actually look like a barn or pie ? with this rule extending to the animals who are the sentient characters in the show. The WordThings can be assembled and disassembled during the show by the characters, who use the items in their adventures and to solve their problems.
WordWorld has won three Emmy Awards. In 2009, WordWorld won for Outstanding Children's Animated Program and for Outstanding Writing in Animation. In 2008 WordWorld won for Outstanding Achievement in Main Title Design "
