Critical Times

January 3, 2007
Below is the original message about Critical Times - we have not been able to publish a hard copy version since the Jan 06 edition (for various reasons).
However, the web site has been updated almost daily since, and we hope you have found it interesting and informative.

We are going to publish a 'mini-CT' newszine at the end of this month (around 20,000 copies), so that we can restart the process of a printed hard copy of CT, coming out on a regular basis. Look out for it!

January 2006

Hi ! We'd like to tell you about the new "Critical Times" - a free independent news magazine.
"Critical Times" is 16 pages, full colour, with 10,000 copies planned to be printed every two months. CT existed in a different form back in 2001 - copies of the first two issues are available.
CT is distributed around Adelaide city, metropolitan area, and regional centres, through a wide range of networks. (To see a full list of distribution centres, see 'distribution')

"Critical Times" is aimed at a broad readership - essentially the whole community - and will span issues from local to international.
There will be a focus on analysis, and discussing issues that are not given prominence in the mainstream media. We want to encourage interaction between groups, organisations and the community in general; such that when important issues need to be discussed widely, there will be access to a mass media publication. At present, this is usually difficult and expensive - only accessible to organisations with money and clout.
