Well, let me tell you....I have been submersed in the world of internet/affiliate marketing. I have also been working on building a couple of websites with my new program which I will reveal in my next article. Let's just say that the program is so powerful and has so much relevant information that my head is spinning. I have never seen anything like it. I will reveal to you how this can help your YTB Travel business in ways you never thought of before. Having a YTB Travel Site and YTB Opportunity Site are great sites--but they are specifially for booking travel and recruiting RTA's. What about your own travel site? What about everything that you want to tell the world about your experiences, your travel thoughts, recommendations, etc. Where can you do that? I found in trying to write E-zine articles that they will not let you put affiliate links within your articles. So now what do you do? You make your own website of course! You take ownership and are able to advertise YOU (and YTB).

I also finished reading "Dig Your Well Before You're Thirsty" by Harvey MacKay. The book talks about building your Network in the new, modern day and age. (See below)

I also stumbled upon a great affiliate program. (I will also reveal that in upcoming articles). If you need to earn money while you are building your YTB business, there are some great ways to supplement your income from the convenience of your computer 24/7.

Between the information contained in both of these programs, my days (and some nights) have been filled with knowledge gathering. Each program leads you from one great content-filled page to another content-filled website with so much information it is almost overwhelming. But NOT! I feel empowered with all the information I have knw that I have so much further to go!

Everything that I have been working on up to this point-my reference manual, my purchases of Magnetic Sponsoring, Building on a Budget, Traffic Formula-basically anything and everything, all came together the other day when a friend of mine on one of the Network Marketing Forums explained it all to me in a few simple words.

This gentleman (who has a great deal of knowledge and insight into Business and Network Marketing-thank you Michael) told me that my primary business is the business I invested in-my product AND organization (my team)-which happens to be YTB (the online travel store). The other products I use are TOOLS to attract people to my real business (YTB). He said "YOU are the business. YTB is the income creator. Magnetic Sponsoring, Building on a Budget and Traffic Formula are the attraction tools to both you AND your income creator. He said to "Sell Yourself" and the rest will follow.

This rule can apply to any business-just add the name of YOUR business where I have the words YTB. I chose YTB because traveling is in my blood. I moved around the country three times over when I was growing up (thank you FBI dad)! I have travelled out of the country several times. I love to cruise. I love to fly. I love going on vacation anywhere at any time. I love flying so much that I even became a flight attendant for a year with the largest airline in the world after leaving corporate world. So I thought "why not open an online travel store where I can enjoy being a travel agent from the comfort of my own home?" It works for me! YTB Business Opportunity page.

The point of my story is that you can take the same principles that I have learned and apply them to your business-it does not really matter what business it is--travel or otherwise. All businesses need to generate leads and what better way to generate leads than with a system that allows you to do this 24/7-even while you are asleep.

Everyone is out there competing for business. Your competitors are everywhere. But the one thing that they do not have is the advantage of having prospects attracted to that business every hour, 365 days a year. There are meetings, presentations, phone calls, more meetings, more presentations until one day they finally snag that one customer. The systems I mentioned above all sell themselves.

Again, YOUR BUSINESS IS MARKETING. As Mike Dillard says in Magnetic Sponsoring "You sell a marketing system to distributors. The marketing system sells your company's products." These two sentences will change your life if you "get it."

By joining my team, I can help you learn to market your system which retails the company products and at the same time teach you leadership and marketing skills. Everyone has a similar product to sell but it is within you as to how far you can take the business you choose to promote.

How hard are you willing to work? Are you open to new ideas? Are you open to different ideas? You will start seeing the results of the hard work you have put in motion. You must have patience, though, and a willingness to work hard. The results will not happen immediately but will happen and then you can sit back and watch your business grow.

YTB is definitely not a scam. Sure, you pay to join if you are a Referring Travel Agent (RTA) and try to recruit people to join just as you have done. I think this sounds like some other very famous companies: a large makeup company, a scrapbooking company, etc. But why wouldn't someone want to join the largest internet on-line travel company? Gone are the days of pulling out the phone book to look for a travel agent, picking up the phone to call and make an appointment, get in your car and drive to the "brick and mortar" travel store, sit there while the "travel agent" books your travel, and you get to leave with brochures and tickets in hand and drive home. The goal is to bash YTB and every other network marketing company, no matter how legitimate the opportunity is because someone does not want you to know how successful YTB is.

No matter what anyone says, there is no YTB scam. I have been in YTB since February. At first, I joined just for the travel side of the business. I now direct my friends and family to my website to book their travel so that I can start earning commissions. Hopefully by sending people to the site, someone will see the many advantages and perks YTB has to offer as much as I did and want to become an RTA. A friend recently booked roundtrip travel for her son to Europe and found that the airline ticket price was right in line with the "other" booking engines! How great was that?

By becoming an RTA you do get travel perks. If you complete courses from some of the vendors listed under the Travel Portal/Training section of your website, you will receive other benefits as well. I give everyone I know my business card with my travel site and the business opportunity site (See Below). If you personally would like to join a great team, ask me about how to join my team and how I can help you to open new doors to not only YTB but network marketing.

Now, regarding the marketing/business opportunity side of the business: I have never seen anything like it. The website is absolutely phenomenal. Nowhere do you get as much help and as much information as the YTB Back Office. Definitely no YTB scam here! They want you to succeed and give you all the tools necessary to do just that. The amount of information in the Back Office of your website is overwhelming! I sometimes look at it and wonder how I am ever going to learn everything they offer!

The great thing about YTB is that you can make as much money as you want by selling travel. Since YTB is a legitimate business, you need to tell everyone you know (make a "Center of Influence" List). If you do this, you will start out with a nice database of people you know who travel--and EVERYONE travels as some point during the year. How can YTB possibly be a scam?

There is no one standing there telling you how to run your business. There is no one there to watch you punch a time clock. This is where you have to have a lot of self-discipline to run your business. It really is simple. There is no inventory, no quota or requirement to book a certain amount of travel each month. So the concept is pretty easy to introduce to other people. Definitely no YTB scam here! You make the business what you want to make of it depending on your level of willingness to make your business work for you.

If you want to succeed in the marketing business of YTB, you are going to have to work. This is a business, and far too many people I know treat it as a job, or worse-they paid their money and are waiting for people to flock to their website without having learned that they are going to have to put some effort into running the business. You can't pay your fees and sit back and wait for profits to start rolling-that is not how it works. The people who do this are the ones who are saying YTB is a scam. This is a solid business opportunity if you treat it as one.

Others say that the YTB scam is that you have to be a good sales person to succeed. Sales person to sale what? Everybody travels somewhere each and every year. All you are doing is directing them to your travel website and they book the travel--No salesmanship degree needed here.

Still not done with the negative arguments? Some say the YTB scam is the $500 sign up fee. You get your own travel business for $500--who can beat that? Other sites may be cheaper, but don't assume they are all of the same. YTB has incredible training resources- training from vendors, training on marketing, plus YTB has incredible partnerships with huge vendors like Hotels.Com and Carnival.

Funded Proposals are beyond company products. You can "Retail" company products. You can put together a marketing campaign that is self- funding through retail sales.

I will tell you how to do it successfully no matter what your product is and how you can apply these principles to any business.

There are a few truths about Funded Proposals:

-people want things done for them. They want to learn how to do it and not to have to do it--makes sense, right?

-90-95% of people will say no to your business. If you paid for leads, and do not make money back you will be out of business.

-It is important to move the product that you are trying to sell.

-Out of 100 leads-95% are not going to be serious. You can disqualify most of them.

Monetize your leads:

Utilize Marketing or Retail products that are inexpensive information products that hit people right at home with their present interest: Making Money From Home!

When someone clicks on any of your links, and then decides to join, you earn residual/passive income 24/7! It allows you to stay in business and it will offset your expenses while you are growing your MLM Business/Home-Based Business. You will be on your way to starting in the Network/Attraction Marketing arena. And this is only the beginning. The whole idea behind Funded Proposals is to have people attract themselves to you instead of you seeking out leads and prospects. People will naturally be attracted to making money from home and "Firing Their Boss."

You must have a complete business model. You can't possibly know where you are going with your business until you take this very important step and map out a strategy. I will talk about setting up a business model in another article.

There has never been a more true statement! Think about it--how you can put that statement to use in your network marketing (or any) business?

The process needs to be automatic:

--You don't need to sell books.
--You can get Testimonials from your prospects/clients which are Free Advertising.
--You don't need a lot of money to get started if you use the correct strategies.
--Use Marketing Techniques from all the experts out there (I have a list of great examples if you would like to e-mail me).
--Work Smart.

You can make money whether people say "yes" or "no" to your opportunity--your business is on the web every single day--if you work diligently people will find you.

The pressure disappears when you feel you don't have to sponsor people. You need to stay away from the mindset "I have to sponsor someone or I can't pay the bills." You put a lot of pressure on yourself when you think that way. You come across as desperate and people run away from you. People are repelled by people who chase them. Funded Proposals take the pressure off to sponsor people. When you stop trying so hard people will say "yes" to you. When you are not looking, and you least expect it, that is when your business takes off.

People gravitate to and want to join leaders:

Position yourself as that leader. No one puts you in that position--put yourself there.

You don't need money--Educate yourself, make yourself Valuable.

You have to develop value. You don't have to have financial status or have a great job, it is all Mindset--what you have to offer others.

1) Elect yourself to a leadership position today. You do not need permission--and there is no criteria.
2) When I do this, when I do that--NO! Now! Today!
3) Naturally it follows that you will do what leaders do.
4) Results will follow and fall in your lap.

Go out and educate yourself. Invest in your education. Buy books and read them! See my recommended list at the bottom of the page. Take Courses. The more you invest in yourself, the more money you earn. If you buy the books, read them! If you sign up for the courses--take them. Don't waste money by not reading the books you have purchased or attending the seminars/training you have signed up to take!

Print out, or write out other successful copyrighter copy. Everything I talk about in my articles on Funded Proposals and Network Marketing takes Time, Effort, and Commitment. You need to learn skills for writing Sales Letters. There is probably a minimum of 1-3 hours of re-writing paragraphs 20 times over. It DOES get easier. Skill acquirement is a prerequisite for the concept of Network Marketing.

You don't have to do a lot to stand out from the crowd in the Network Marketing industry. There REALLY is so little competition. Learn one or two little skills really well that most people don't have or don't want to take the time to acquire or learn. You can become the leader or expert in that field.

Magnetic Sponsoring-it is not about your business or sponsoring. It is when other people want to work with you. It is a philosophy--A way of thinking that most people don't subscribe to. It is not taught. It is not something that can be duplicated.

You can't really "teach" your downline. It is a Catch-22. If you invest the time and "grasp it" or "get it" and make the effort to learn, you can make the money ($$$) and you won't need to worry about money ($$$) again! This takes time, though. It WILL NOT happen overnight. You need patience. It is not about networking--It is a process learned outside networking.

You need to take this information to heart. Financial success is an event NOT a skill. It is a skill that is required and can be duplicated. Make your own mark and be independent.

What is magnetic sponsoring or attraction marketing? How does it work? How can your YTB business benefit from the strategies and tactics?

You have to be willing to:
--Work smart and not hard
--Learn about marketing
--Make changes in the strategies you are using right now
--Travel down a different road
--Not chase after genealogy leads, make 200 calls a day or hand out sizzle cards

If you are not making enough money for the time, energy and effort you have spent on other methods, stop what you are doing and try using magnetic or attraction sponsoring to promote your YTB business. You need to start studying the market and look into direct response marketing. It is better to have people call you--it is much easier and much more rewarding.

Some great places to start are by reading Joe Schroeder's book about "attraction marketing." Some great authors on these subjects are: Perry Marshall and Dan Kennedy. Look for experts and read their bios and what they have done. Be able to learn something from what they have to say.

If your goal is to have 5-10 prospects call you for one reason or another, don't you think you could build a big business by actually talking with those 5-10 people? Notice I said, them calling you!

People will try different activities to start in Attraction or Network marketing using YTB and have their own reasons for doing them. It might be that their money is tight so advertising is not an option. They try using Google Adwords but they don't know what they are doing-people write ads but have no idea how to write. Advertising is the key only IF you do it right.

Attraction or Magnetic Marketing is:
--attracting your target market to you
--prospectswho are looking to grow their business
--people who are looking for a leader to follow and learn the skills they have to teach.

Your strategy should not be selling your YTB business or selling your YTB opportunity. People don't make money because they join the opportunity as a result of its cool product. People make money by learning how to build their business, how to build a pipeline, through mentorship, learning strategies and tactics and learning to advertise. They have to learn how to monetize leads.

Attraction or Magnetic Marketing is finding out what the business is all about. It has nothing to do with selling the company/business or being a successful distributor-anyone can have a company with a successful product or they can become a successful distributor. It is not about product. It is all about people. Products are an excuse to train people, teach leadership, and build a distribution organization. It is important to have a good product but it is more than your company or product that they are going to be attracted to.

Sell yourself to people first! That is what is important!

People will join you because they:

1) found a mentor or leader to teach them to be successful.
2) found or have been shown a marketing system or opportunity that they can see themselves being successful with.

Yes, it really is that simple!

The three important rules of Attraction or Network Marketing: Sell Yourself, Market the System and then Market the company.

People love to buy things if they think it is their idea. Don't chase them-it makes them run in the other direction! Provide them with the correct tidbits, marketing pieces. Tease them, entice them. Let them think that it is their idea to work with you and then you can sponsor them.

You have to ask yourself "What are you bringing to the table for that particular prospect?" If three people with the same tremendous company with the same tremendous opportunity and product present their presentation to someone, which person do you think is going to get the business? It depends on how you present it but it would be the person who followed the above three rules.

How do you become that person? The only people who make money are leaders. Leaders have educated themselves about the industry they have become involved in and have acquired the necessary skill sets. Leaders aren't born they are made. Leaders have a genuine interest in people and a desire to help people succeed.

You can break out as that leader. You can separate yourself and put yourself out ahead of the crowd and be someone that people want to seek out.

You need to increase your value to other people. Why do people want to work with you?

Educate yourself. Put your money, time and energy into learning skills other people don't want to learn. Read books or articles on Marketing, Copyrighting, Advertising. You have to become attractive in other people's eyes and use that knowledge to grow your YTB business.

Buying books and reading/educating yourself does not take a lot of money. There is so much to gain by reading. The knowledge gained by reading alone is valuable and adding value to yourself with every book you read. You are going to go through personal growth with every book added to your library. Becoming a leader in the YTB organization takes time, skill and becoming a leader who people want to learn from and follow.

This is the second part of Getting Started With YTB. There is so much to do when you first join YTB that it might seem overwhelming. When you join a great team, as I have done, and are making your presence known on the internet with YTB as well as through other marketing methods (which I will cover in another article), you become extremely busy wondering how you are going to find the time to do everything that needs to be accomplished. There are so many rewards to owning your own online travel store and the benefits just get better and better as time passes. You can make your business as large as your imagination will let you take it. Do not forget, though, that it is a business. There is no one there to tell you to get up and work at your business. Your YTB business will not grow unless you make it grow. Take the time to learn all you can about YTB and how everything works: go to your back office, the YTB E-campus where you can learn about different aspects of the travel business. Take advantage of all the training that is offered by YTB and the travel industry vendors. Get certifications from several or as many of the vendors as you can. A lot of the courses can be taken online.

Once you join YTB, you are going to want to start earning your Travel commissions. There are several ways to do this. You can earn commissions by booking travel yourself or through people whom you sent to or found your website. You can earn commissions booking group travel, cruises (or group cruises). Once in a power team you will want all of the team to book travel. Once the 7th person has joined your team (you count as one), you will get a 10% override on commissions through your team. You can cut your overhead-as long as you have 6 people paying for sites under you. Three of the six must be personally sponsored by you. This will qualify you for a 50% paycheck match when they start to build their team (personally sponsor someone into their business.) After you have six people paying their monthly fee, yours is free. Start helping your team to build their teams.

You must be RTA (Registered Travel Agent) certified to get the override. By being RTA certified, this will help you get your CLIA (Cruise Line International Association) card. You can become RTA certified through one of the many certification courses located throughout the United States. Once you take the course, you may pay for the CRTA Training that you attended by submitting your request along with payment information through the YTB Back Office under "HELP." Open a Support Ticket and ask them to process your request via the ticket. If you are paying by credit card, include the credit card number, expiration date and security code. Also, in your request, they ask that you state the date and location of the training. You may also call the YTB Home Office at 800-243-4450 and ask for Rep Support to make the payment.

PLEASE MAKE NOTE OF THE NEW REQUIREMENTS IF YOU BECAME AN RTA AFTER MARCH 1, 2008. The new requirements are as follows: you must have a total of $1500 of booked travel through your website or travel that you booked for customers (or through suppliers directly). Travel can not be from your own, personal booked travel. The travel has to come from someone outside the YTB network. Only then are you eligible to apply for your RTA startup credentials. You need an additional $1000 booked travel in order to apply for your CLIA card (this card is optional). You must have already attended an RTA certification and received your card. This is a total of $2500 booked travel. The CLIA card will give you the opportunity for discounts on cruises, Disney properties, etc.

Next, plan your YTB grand opening of your business. Plan a travel party. Let people know you have a travel site. Let your customers know that YTB has more products to offer than just travel: golf travel packages, cars, passports information, flowers, and honeymoon registry. Our YTB Site is better than any other online site. You can obtain Sporting events tickets, concert events tickets, hunting/fishing trips. Let them know that they can become customers or RTA's themselves. Speak about YTB with Excitement! Send them to your travel business opportunity home page, ask if they would like a "Success From Home" magazine which includes a coaches play DVD. Let them hear about the YTB business. Let them know they will be generating income on a weekly business.

Ask everyone you know: Can't leave regular business? How would you like to replace your current income? How would you like to walk away and never work for anyone ever again? One of the benefits of having your own YTB online travel stores is that YTB offers health and life insurance with no pre-existing conditions. Is this a Travel business alone? NO! Even when you are on vacation and you are away or gone your team is there in place booking travel and you are earning money 24/7! Where else can you say that?

You thought about it and checked it out all over the web. You asked everyone you knew if they had heard about YTB. What is YTB? Should I join YTB? What is all this talk about YTB-an online internet travel company? Is YTB a scam? You finally gathered all the information, made the decision and joined-now what? What is this company that I have joined and where do I go from here? You can ask your team leader, which is a good place to start. Sometimes, though, all of the information that you are now hearing can be overwhelming. The following will help you make the most out of your first week getting your YTB business up and running in a very easy step-by-step approach to getting started.

There are two opportunities when you join YTB-your Travel business and your Marketing business. A good place to start is:

1) Listen to the Conference Calls which are archived on the website. There are calls for every night of the week. Mondays are usually dedicated to Training and Thursday's calls are dedicated to Training/Vendors. Both of these are an excellent place to find a wealth of information. Try and listen to one call a day or at least every other day. The idea is to get plugged in to start making the most of you business opportunity!

2) Get your YTB business cards. Every time you venture out away from your home whether it is to the grocery store, work--basically anywhere you go-- someone wants to talk about travel. It could be a business trip, a leisure trip, etc.-the point is that EVERYONE travels! Order your YTB business cards through your YTB Back Office. Click on Resources and then click on Business Cards. When you order your business cards through your back office, you can use the YTB logo. You can not use the logo if you go to an outside vendor-it is a policy infringement on copyrighted materials. There are two sides you can present to someone when you hand them one of your cards-the travel business side and the marketing opportunity side. Tell them how they can go to your travel website and book their own travel and some of the other extraordinary offers they will find there. Tell them about the business opportunity site and how they can earn extra income, the ways they can earn compensation, tell them about the investors link, and that YTB is publicly traded. When you hand them a card with your home page information it does all of this for you. Don't forget to add this as a business expense for tax purposes.

3) The next step you might want to take is to get domain names. For instance, the name of my company is World Destinations Travel Company. I purchased domain names from GoDaddy.com. with the extension ".com" and also ".biz." Now, my YTB travel booking URL assigned to me by YTB points to the .com site (World Destinations Travel.) and my YTB marketing site points to the .biz domain name (World Destinations Travel Company Biz. ). You can also purchase ".info" or ".mobi" domains. You do not have to do this. Domain names, though, can be forwarded to YTB addresses. How many domains should I get? It is personal preference. Make the names yourself-one for your marketing business, and one for your travel booking engine. It is also good to grab your name as a domain name for future use (http://www.yourname.com/ ).

4) Pre-register for an RTA (Registered Travel Agent) Certification class through your YTB back office. Classes take place all over the country plus Canada and the Bahamas on a monthly basis. Get with your up-line. Go to your Back Office, under the Company Events link, RTA Certification. Scroll to find a class in your area which is closest to you. The class is a one-day training event and is going to teach you about your whole business, how to present yourself, to make money, the entire compensation plan. Click on Comp Plan link so you can have a general overview on your compensation plan. There are many ways to make money at YTB and everything is tracked in the Back Office. All transactions are recorded 24/7.

5) This is the beginning of the learning process. Your back office can help you learn where to find the answers to a lot of your questions. A good place to start is under the Resources tab.

6) Find out about main events that are going on in your area. Learn from travel vendors at these events. Every year YTB holds an Annual convention. There are multiple trainings for both the travel and marketing sides of your YTB business at the convention. These events can also be found under Company Events on your YTB back office.

With you decision to join YTB, you have:

-decided how much you want to work
-build a business within a business
-joined the largest internet travel store
-Financial freedom

What I have just shared with you is what I have done to jumpstart my business. I also belong to a great team so that is a BIG step in the right direction. My team leader has given me a lot of confidence and knowledge in a very short amount of time. With that said, now you must determine if YTB is right for you and if you want to join a great team. The one thing you should realize, though, is that YTB is a business not a job. No business was ever built in a month, and your business won't be built in a month either. You must work if you want to make money. You must market your business to make money. But, (and this may surprise you) you do not have to be a sales person to succeed in YTB.

Why Choose A Travel Business?

Many people have asked me, when faced with the myriad of home based business opportunities, why it is that I chose YTB. My decision was based on two things: the facts and my love of travel. I have traveled or been around travel my whole life so it made perfect sense when the opportunity was presented to me.

First, the facts.

1. The travel industry pulls in approximately $1.3 trillion annually in the United States alone. That figure leaps to $7 trillion when measured worldwide.

2. Four significant trends:

Trend One: There are almost 1 billion baby boomers worldwide. One person every eight seconds reaches retirement age. This trend will continue for the next 20 years. So what? What will these newly retired baby boomers do when they retire? Travel, of course!

Trend Two: The travel industry is growing 23% faster than the global economy. That means that travel is expected to double to $14 trillion worldwide in the next 10 years.

Trend Three: The growth of E-Commerce. Consumers last year spent billions of dollars on the Internet. Travel is the fastest growing segment of that trend.

Trend Four: Statistics show that small and home-based businesses are the fastest growing segment of the U.S. economy. With large companies outsourcing and downsizing, people are turning to home based businesses to provide them with job security.

Now, to my love of travel.

Having my own online travel booking engine eliminated the need for me to go to a brick and mortar travel agency every time I want to travel. I also get to enjoy the benefits of being my own travel agent. I can go anywhere in the world I want and receive top notch treatment/service for being a travel agent.

Using the internet/network marketing methods I have learned allows me the freedom to not have to bug my friends and family for travel reservations. They can become an agent themselves and enjoy the same benefits I receive or they can be referred to my travel website and book their own travel without becoming an agent.

My friends and family already travel, so I am not asking them to do anything out of the ordinary. My website typically offers the same price or lower, so by booking with me they are getting the same deal or better. Plus, unlike other travel sites, I earn 60% of the commission when anybody books on my site.

Not to mention-the YTB business was affordable, the training second-to-none, and I can grow my business on the Internet.
