WowWee Robosapien RS Media Is the Best Present I Ever Got

I've had the WowWee Robosapien RS Media for a couple months now (birthday present), I love it, it's amazing. First off, I have always loved robots, so finding this one for such a cheap price with all the features it has was a real joy. (By comparison most good consumer grade robots cost between $350 and $1500. So, for under $100, the WowWee RSM with its full featured list of functions seems well worth the price of admission.)

I have loaded and played with several new 'personalities' for my RS Media ranging from a Battlestar Gallactica Cylon to Bugs Bunny with hilarious and fun results.
I have to say, that I am really enjoying my RSM robot a lot. Even with its few shortcomings, the RS Media is a fun toy to have. Bring it out at a party, and watch people gather around to be entertained. The WowWee Robosapien Media is definitely a toy never gets old and my #1 must have this holiday season
My review, in a nutshell
Pros:
- Ability to modify and swap personalities.
- New software suite allows for extensive programming.
- Head-mounted camera.
- Voice recognition, movement recognition, bipedal walking.
- 11-watt stereo speakers.
- Talks, Walks, and Dances
- Movable arms and hands
- Built-in Sound and Camera
- Customizable personalities
- Sound and motion detection.
- Programmable
- Built in MP3 Player
- This thing puts out some impressive sound (thanks to onboard subwoofer).
Cons:
- Slow walker, turning can be a little cumbersome.
- Can have some issues with walking straight or on some carpets
- Some builds have torso spring issues
- Some occasional programming glitches
- A little difficulty using the USB cable a few times but usually works (the SD card works great so no worries)
- Oh ya, and don't forget the batteries. (This bad boy uses 6 D-Size in his feet, 4 AA-Size in his body, and 3 AA-Size in the controller. Make sure you have rechargeable or at least some backups)
All in all, this robot is awesome, I definitely recommend picking one up!
