Here is a step by step process on how to refill a Zippo Lighter and how to change the flint.

Refill Zippo Lighter:
1. Purchase lighter fluid. I'm a name brand type of guy so I like to use Zippo's brad (Zippo Lighter Fluid)
2. Open the Zippo's lid and pull out the Zippo insert.
3. At the bottom of the Zippo insert is a cotton strip. Pull the cotton strip up. Once it's pulled up you will be able to see more cotton underneath.
4. Take your lighter fluid and soak cotton.
5. Once the cotton is soaked push the cotton strip down.

Changing the Zippo's Flint:
1. Open the Zippo's lid and pull out the Zippo Insert.
2. At the bottom of the Zippo insert is a gold cap.
3. Use a flathead screwdriver and unfasten the cap and pull it out (A long coild is attached to the cap - pull the whole thing out).
4. Once the cap with coil is removed the tiny flint will fall out. Place a new flint into the Zippo Lighter.
5. Re-insert the cap and coil and fasten.
6. Place the Zippo Insert back in the case.
